Well if they're refunding him then he doesn't have cause to complain. Heck, he could use the refund money to buy a new copy if he still wants to play.
ganKing
I'm confused, was this warskull guy banned from the forum, or banned from the forum and the game's multiplayer?
In almost every country, anyone has the option of sueing anyone else for anythinig. Filing a lawsuit isn't hard. The question is whether you have enough of a case to get through the initial stages, which they may not, but just starting it can make headlines if enough people care, even if it isn't destined to last long in court.
Not knowing how to make multiplayer is one thing ;) Not knowing how to not get sued is another...
Is this correct: If your team mates all quit but you didn't, you now have to sit through a 5v1 game or you get no favor points etc.? I may not be clear on what the designer's proposed solution to the problem is, but it rather predictably at this point based on my understanding of it looks like it would create new problems.
Since we haven't been told what "very fast" is, don't you think that might result in many people attempting to host, and they will fail at it-- and that will screw up multiplayer not only for them but for other people as well that are trying to connect through them? Not that I would expect anything else to happen at this point, but when someone asks you "what is very fast?" maybe you should answer or say that you don't know, instead of leaving everyone to test it on the live ser
Yeah, I've been stuck at 400 favor points for days now.
HoL needs a nerf, you shouldn't be buying the same item in 90% of your games if you can afford it. Once everyone has caught on and everyone has it in every game it's going to seem more nerf-worthy.
This was in an AoS style map I used to play, and people ganging up on people deliberately by entering the same game killed it. But when it worked, it was awesome!! If they made it a pantheon or skirmish kind of thing it could work :D You'd need a minimum wait time to prevent people from queing at once though.
Crucible is one of my favorite maps, though I've never seen (or been aware of anyway) an Erebus jump the gap. The warpstone/speed argument isn't really relevant since an Erebus on any map could use that move to increase his movement speed if he didn't mind burning the mana. They really need to fix the pathing issues with crucible though. You click the side of your base and your DG will attempt to walk up to the gap instead of taking the correct way in.
I think rank 1 and maybe rank 2 of spit could do with a higher mana cost, since what he has described has been the best way to play UB in my experience too.
[quote who="PhantomOfAres" reply="11" id="2201873"] Quoting ganKing, reply 8Nah it wasn't you. But the fact that you could be losing that badly in both towers and kills and come back to kill everyone reflects badly on the game's balance. Just as a side note, I disagree with this sentiment. I think it reflects WELL on the game's balance that you can't chalk a win up to kills/towers/cit upgrades. It's a more complex game than just being able to win with s
SkyNAT, scary! I think we've all waited long enough now that we wouldn't mind waiting longer a bit longer. You guys should test these patches for a day or half a day, to find problems that should be coming up within the first several games, before you release them. There is no other way to get around the fact that each new patch that fails to work as intended makes you guys look that much worse.
I remember in one game I was in, right at the start I had killed Erebus twice. Then he runs into tower range (bad player) and I assume that I'm going to kill him a third time and he rapes me. Glad they decided to nerf him even if just a little bit!
Nah it wasn't you. But the fact that you could be losing that badly in both towers and kills and come back to kill everyone reflects badly on the game's balance. I think I see a problem there. 4x crit on a hit that does 230 should be 1320. Not 2300. If you had 4x and then multiplied the result after that by 2x you would get in the area of 2300. But that means that crits stack by multiplying the total damage and not by multiplying the base damage.
So the other day I was playing a game as UB and was owning, 10-0. Then all of a sudden, the Regulus on the other team (whom I had killed like 4 times, but otherwise had been killing my team mates fairly often) starts auto-attacking me for 2k. The numbers on my screen were like, red -250, red -250, yellow -2300. Needless to say the game ended shortly after that as he shot down all of our towers within a fairly short time. Has anyone else seen this kind of thing happen
You have to realize that on some maps, the towers are very very close together. I don't think an upgrade to tower range would be good since on those maps, if you buy it first and the towers start hitting each other, bleh.
If you really don't know what I mean when I mention the problems with the releases of the patches, you have not been following this very closely. The whole "it works for some people just not you, haha" argument doesn't mean anything in a multiplayer game where 1 person dropping can ruin it.
Updated... says it was 2.8 GB but it happened instantly and I don't seem able to get into a game :P
Not only have all of Stardock/GPG's attempts to fix multiplayer so far failed, but not one of those failed attempts has worked as intended on their first try. A for effort but F on the rest, unfortunately. How can they be releasing "betas" for a game I already bought? I don't understand the people who, this far in, can still have such a positive attitude about this.
Anyone else notice that QoT's shamblers will often stand around not attacking things, no matter how many times you click on them? And to get them to work when this happens, you have to select the specific shambler, walk it closer to the target (often a tower) and then tell it to attack? Apparently their aggro range is larger than their attack range, or something? It sucks.
I went from being unable to download to "file size is larger than expected", so I guess that's a slightly better version of the problem :P
Same problem... hopefully it's just a very temporary thing.
A lot of things like this would be good to introduce as different game modes. I don't see a place for something like this in Pantheon, but it'd be easy to code and potentially a lot of people would enjoy it, so why not for custom games?
On in-game moderators: It sounds like a joke. Do I lose karma if my ally drops and I don't want to play with the enemy-feeding CPU? Matching players with good karma together? Shouldn't the game automatically obviate the need to do that? Isn't there already a profanity filter?
