I was playing last night (with no crash, amazingly enough), and I was hit by no less than twelve pirate cap ships, and about 50+ other ships. A transcendancy starbase with two planetary defense transmitters, two fighter bays, and four repair bays are all it took to hold them off, but I was still a bit put back by it... since there were four computers hitting four of my planets with 200+ ship fleets at the same time. The sound problem can be easily fixed by simply shutting the effects all the way off in the game and then turning their volume back up. Incase anyone else is having the issue.

There's something else that is intensely annoying that I thought was just a fluke--but its appeared in two patches now. When I am following an intense battle closely--as in up front and personal, I get a weird feedback noise. It's like a repititious loop of a kind of "waaohaaohaaohaaohaaoh" No idea how else to describe it. Has anyone else had this issue? Has it been mentioned previously? I just save the game and re-load and its gone. But I never had that happen in vanil

Q: Why am I applying a patch to an already supposedly completed release? That... makes no sense. My understanding was that if I redownloaded the most current release and simply followed the steps, it would work. Why would I also be patching it when the folders in use are completely different and the mods are in the mod folders so they don't actually affect the game files. Or at least that's what I would think would work. Not to sound like

I figured it out. Fix: Run Impulse as Administrator. If you bought the games online, it should be pretty simplistic from there. Put in your email address/Key. Bang. Done. I feel silly now for even posting it, but just incase someone else has this issue.
