So I'll throw a couple things up first. I never play at 1x speed. I almost always play at at least 2x if not 4x, as I'm pretty much not interested in the multi-player thing unless its team versus AI. (I'm not the competitive type, more the cooperative type) It might be because I'm used to Distant Stars on Sins1, but I just dropped 2 fleets on the pirate base and cracked it open like it was a rotten egg halfway broken already. It was a 20 second fight even on 2x. Granted, I'm l

Set fleet range based in several parts: Fleet Flagship level Phase Jump Tech Level (add the tech) There would need to be some alterations based on relative distance of planets in a particular scenario, so for instance if someone created a galaxy where planets and stars were more realistic in relative distances, the numbers would automatically scale. Number of capital ships in a fleet versus smaller ships (jump field) 1 cap

With planets having the option to go into orbit mode if you like it, there needs to be more ability to alter planets as they maneuver through the uh..."solar" system. So if a major planet suddenly has a hyper lane tying to another faction's space, the option of replacing a surface research lab with say, a garrison, would be very good. Not sure if there is going to be an option for that already planned. Whether or not its for a garrison, the option to replace planetary structures needs

Honestly? A near direct port of the game, and stable engine that can support a hundred stars (or planets) for truly massive games without the late game crawl. The late game crawl is what ruined the first one. This engine so far, granted we're limited to only vs 3ai, has not stuttered once. I honestly couldn't give two sh*ts about it being an epic games exclusive, since epic lets me log into their stuff with steam (though maybe I should think about contacting someone and having my old

Oddly enough, my last post was.... this one: SOASE2? I'm currently roaming through my second game, and thus far I have not run into any technical issues. I'm on an AMD Ryzn 7 3800X-8 Core and running a run-of-the-mill 3060 nvidia and Win10 running DX12 iirc. Initially I was thrown off by the new GUI, but... its a new game. What's not to expect? Of course its new. From what I see its all but effect
A very common question but we have nothing public to announce about a sequel right now.
I dislike your response, but you more than make up for it with the Ed avatar. I hope you guys don't pull a Valve and never release the HalfLife3 Sins2. Your loyal fan awaits a hopeful eventuality. edit: Nothing public to announce. Hmmm.

Galaxy Forge won't load the maps, neither will E4X Galaxy Forge. I'm running all distant stars mods, and I am irked. Everything has been "supremely stable without issue" until I downloaded the minor factions DLC. Since the minor factions DLC was already there in the game, but not turned on, I'm not understanding how this broke so hard. I have a dump file, but naturally since I'm running a modded game, I'm pretty much hosed on that front (unless someone can direct me on how to

Nevermind. I'm dumb. Its in the mod folder for the mod with everything I needed. DERP. edit But would like to know how to turn a Gas Giant into a Logistical Wonderland. Making a "realistic" map, with long distances between planets and stars, and Gas Giants have a ton of space around them. I'd like 60 logistical slots around them.

Went do the download page here: https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/downloads Downloaded Galaxy Forge. Only the most basic planets are available to choose from. Asteroid, volcanic, ice, terran, desert. There must be a GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef file somewhere that updates this. I know there is, because in the past I have been able to build maps with urban moons, savannah planets, etc.
