Naz: My suggestion means there are no upper tiers of each type of idol, but there are many more types of idols for you to pick three from at any one time. This way, generals can augment themselves and their small army with various effects depending on the situation of the fight. For example, Queen of Thorns might choose to buy a Debuff Removal Type idol to counter an enemy Unclean Beast's spit. Then as the game progresses, she

It would be interesting to use it to give exp levels to players and be able to see them in the lobbies. It's strange to me how you gain/loose exp in bot slaughter/2v1s if that's supposed to be an accurate measure of skill
yep, they really have to improve that, having bots in multiplayers to reduce rage quitters problems seemed like a go
i don't see the point, every decent player would use one of the 2 slots for the anckle of speed. And the whole point of the favor system is that you have to make the hard choice of what capacity would be the most usefull for the present battle. If you add a second one, you delete that dimension of the gameplay.
I guess the "just like the chicken in Dota" phrase caused that suggestion to look like another "please be like Dota" idea. That wasn't my intention, however. Regardless of whether the idea is from Dota or not, there are numerous times where I would so wish for the ability to have something do the shopping for me so that I can save the trip back to base. If the original idea is good, it stands on it's own feet. One reason I can imagine to
/signed. it is one of the little features Demigod lacks a lot.
all they need to do is throw up some energy wall or something...they would not even need to redesign the map.
that would do the trick, and i would like to see this solution applied. but it would need some dev time, it is not just a cheap stat change. Redesigning the map by widening the gap a little would maybe be easier for the devs... Anyway this will have to be solved ; i heard that the devs will release a balance patch
it has been this way since the first beta. I really think it works as intended. And i don't think a pool will be added, it has been designed this way. makins upgrades cost for exemple twice more would indeed balance a pool system, but it would also negate its interest. You just have to choose if your team needs an upgrade or you to buy an item.
the favor system is broken, but tomorrow patch should fix it (by migrating all the stats to an online database). and yes there are separates pools for the differents modes. It would be too easy to bash the ai and then go play pantheon matches with all the fav items unlocked.
his bat swarm is fine, except on crucible where it is really unfair. The advantage is really too huge, on most matches i have seen on crucible lately at least half the players chosed Erebus. I know it is probably a lot of work but in my opinion the devs should just prevent that one abuse . When you see that 90% of the players use the same tactic (and on crucible, Erebus with bat swarm seems to be the most played build by far) there is a balance problem.
playing demigod with more thant one screen is indeed problematic, i always disconnect my graphic tablet before starting demigod. PROJETILES: it is not a bug at all, it is a feature; even if you teleport, regulus can snipe you. POOL: i wondered why the feature is not here but in fact the devs wanted it like that: if you can pool your gold, you can very easily buy giants and that would totally mess up the balance.
Good initiative. Let's try with the few that many people keep asking: 1. self casting : being able to cast a spell on yourself (heal, shield,...) via alt + clic 2. Hud improvement : war rank the war rank should be more visible (especially since there is no tutorial) and you should know if you are near the next war rank or not (a jauge would perfectly do the trick) 3. Being able to always see your hp/mana : it is infuriating and a loss of time to always have to move you
3) It is added to the same pool as skirmish/custom games favor is.
I think there are 3 pools: solo play, skirmish/custom and pantheon.
that's a lot of features, i would never buy the game just for 2 more demigods and favor items!
A mode I would love to see implemented, that I thought about recently and made a post about was a reverse Domination mode... which I tentatively call "Dreadful Domination".... in which the goal is to capture flags like regular Domination except.... instead of the flags bestowing bonuses to you and your teamates, it does the opposite... giving you debuffs, longer cooldowns, slower speeds, lower experience rate, etc... It would make for
the devs have worked on that^^. It wasn't finished so it didn't do it to the release version but i imagine it will be added later. By the way they were also working on a capture the flag mode
Quoting Fred_Bonaparte, reply 10demigod doesn't have the design limitations that a mod have (for exemple if the devs want to add a fifth ability, they can do it easily whereas in dota it is almost impossible). This made me laugh. It's actually rediculously easier to add a 5th, 6th, 7th etc ability for DotA then it is for Demigod. The interface of Demigod is hard coded to contain 4 ability slots, they can add more of 1 of the ability s
12 demigods! I would like to see that. I also don't think that the game need more than let's say 20 demigods (at most). Demigod isn't Dota. The devs don't have to make all the same choices than dota, especially when they don't make sense. And 90, 100 demigods would be insane, first the cost would be huge and second if you want to add variety, you can add a reasonnable number of demigods and you can also add maps, items, abilities, flags...., demigod doesn't have the design limitations
after 10 or 20 matches it becomes a little less annoying but i also don't like that quake voice. I don't think it mix very well with other elements of the game. I hope there is a way to remove it
when the netcode will work properly, i imagine the pantheon will work better. Since the system lacks statistics (a few games are played) and the one it has are biaised, it is hard to evaluate players and have a good ranking system. It should work a lot better once the netcode is fixed. I think that Frogboy already said that he was also wanting to see the possibility to play with friends soon.
there are not so many balance problems, and the devs want to use the new demigods to balance the gameplay further. That was planned like that before the release.
you can also add me, i'm from France.
In my opinion, the demo should be one map only (cataract seems to fit), 2 to 4 demigods, maybe a capped level (14?) and the demo players should be labeled as such. a free weekend would also be interesting, but you have to be sure that your servers can handle the stress. Valve do that from time to time to promoter multiplayer games like TF2 or L4D. It also sounds like a good idea for Demigod: one weekend- the full game, and after having a quick taste, you can pay to keep playing.
