Is anyone playing Skirmish or Pantheon with the beta?
I played 3 Pantheon games today. Havent checked the custom games again after the 3 failed attempts to connect to other players in the lobby. But Pantheon works pretty good for me now. It gets stuck sometimes but after a while the connection info pops up and I see the other players. In one game we had one player drop I think, so it was a 2v1 domination. Poor guy on the other team, not even an AI for support. The
I had Colonel Jessup (post right above this) in the lobby of a game I was joining. According to the Connection Info screen he was only connected to the Host, and everyone else in the room saw him as a red 0 like he describes. But, I nor anyone other than the host could see anything he typed. He left and rejoined the room a couple times with no success. Just giving a bit more info on a problem he describes in his post.
Thanks for the info! [e digicons]k1[/e]

It works! Great job, just finished my first Pantheon game, 2v2, no bots. YAY!!! Thanks to all the guys who have worked day and night to get this patch finished! PS: There is a small thing with the UI in custom games: it shows ping 0 for everybody but the host. So I guess it looks to everybody like I can't connect but it seems to work. At least with auto matchmaking in Pantheon. More info here.
BTW, this post is sensationalized. The BETA didn't fix much, but gave the APPEARANCE of progress. Honestly, all this patch did was bring up how this community WANTS a fix that it will deem any progress a godsend.
Nope, this patch fixed my connection problems. First online game that worked since I got the game. All this beta patch need is some final polish on the UI. In custom games and in the Patheon game I had the same 0 ping as described by OP. Everything else work

Yay DeadMG! I'd trust you enough to run the your app but I guess most Demigod players don't know you yet, so relaunching might be better for now. [e digicons]k1[/e] Is there any way we can keep this cleanly seperated from the original install as we plan to do it for the CEP?
It's $50 in the UK... I actually find Demigod a bit expensive here But then the British gets ripped off at everything from petrol, food to electronics. It's not available in UK. And we sell it for less than 30 pounds to UK.
Yup, its resonably priced in the UK. If you want to see some real consumer rape try <a href="http://www.amazon.de/Atari-Demigod/dp/B001PBUN46/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=12
one suggestion: Play it windowed.
This is good advice. I have been playing Demigod in windowed mode and Im chatting and browsing the whole time, it runs pretty stable. I only had one crash so far (and two related to connection drops, different ball park).

I'm from Europe too. Still no joy. In my network I can't forward ports (huge network, I'm not the admin) so I'm stuck with whatever Stardock cooks up on their end. The game is awesome when I play on Hamachi with friends, on Impulse everything I ever get are bots, endless connections screens or kicks. If I decrease my security settings any further I might as well call my gaming machine a public FTP server. :) We had a poll and so far roughly 50% of our European users werent able to pla

Same as Teseer, siege archers to attack towers, other than that I rather spend my money on a potion or a scroll. My standard Oak build has no minions. I only bother with spirits when I need the extra punch.

Very interesting, thanks Tyo! I like it how you guys don't hide behind empty expressions. Good questions from the interviewer too. So Uncle gets the nerf bat, or maybe not? We will see. I guess Ill go looking for a 9th set of files tomorrow. We all have seen the artwork in the beta but I have a feeling there might be more this time. Thanks for the hint. :)
Pressing tab is not the suggestion, I do not want to have to press tab to see the warscore.
Have your personal assistant do it for you then? Y/N?

Hmm, a little progress bar woudnt hurt. Its easier than to keep track of the numbers. The score board would be fine for me, the main screen would be better though.
any word on it, my connection is pretty good but does it help?
Nope, didnt do a thing for me. Didn't work for a friend of me either.
Too serious Colonel I was invoking the "burn the witch" sketch from Monty Python Holy Grail.
Theres something new for my to-do list, havent seen that movie in ages. Good way to promote my maps nonetheless. ;)
Gaining info might be possibly, but directly editing levels and the like will desync.
I think you would have to get the info from system memory though. The beta update is up: If you cant see the update, make sure you have beta updates enabled in Impulse. ( See Frogboy's post for more info. ) Enjoy!
Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?
Just a mapper , I have worked with the SupCom engine for almost 2 years now. So I know it a little. Oh and I've seen many threads similar to this. In my experience they rarely solve the problem, a PM to the right person on the developer team usually does. But talk is cheap, let me give you an example, <a href="http://www.insidesu

Guys, guys! Before we shout HaXXoR and Burn the WITCH, lets think this through first. Demigod has a few very powerful tools in place to make this kind of cheating almost impossible. If you edit the blueprints the game will desync, even over Game Ranger. And you can't get online on Impulse with an edited game version at all afaik. badcad, when something like this happens or you have a doubt, save the replay! You can find it in My Documents\My Games\...\Replays\ \LastGame
