If you find DoW2 lacking, then I suggest you wait for this game to come out in April and read the reviews. Currently in the beta phase, you will find it even more boring.
Blitz64
Latency does seem worst with more in game disconnects. Game speed does seem slower but I thought this was map related. how do you find the total number of players (196 players) online? More maps and more players are a big plus. beta2d map was starting to get boring with mostly just 2v2, mostly the same pros online.
My Laptop Specs: Geforce 9300 When I play it offline fps is about 2-5 - its definately unplayable. Im pretty sure my specs should be good enough to play the game normally, right?
imho, I think the 9300 is too weak. You need atleast a 9600 on a laptop.
Same thing happens to me. I was like wtf? doesn't gpg beta test at all... just delete your my games folder in my documents.
I was able to play a 4v4 game Today although most people got disconnected during the middle of the game. 3v3 was the most I got in beta2d. So I think it's a bit better. You just need to know some tricks, like restart Demigod after every attempt to join.
The Torch Bearer seems just like the TB from beta 1. Maybe I'm missing minor details but overall, he plays the same way. He has all the same spells, unless I'm forgeting 1. He's a bit weak compared to Rook and Regulus. Definitely not for a newbie. The multiplayer connection is just a bit better. I can get a 3v3 game going sooner compared to beta2d, but no more than 6 players in a room before lots of disconnects starts to
I think you are confusing the 2 spells, frost nova and permafrost.
It's out. just hit F5 a few times in impulse. no need to uninstall.
beta 3 available now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are trying to compile the latest code for Demigod using make. The compile takes 3 hours and at the very end, it crashes. So they rebooted windows and run another make command. Hopefully the build compiles this time and we get a good build. If not, we need to wait another 3 hours for them to compile again. ( Just kidding )
The Empire: Total War demo is out now on steam
I think you should start a whole new thread instead of just changing the topic. It makes it easier to read for newcomers.
No, you only get into the beta if you order online here at stardock website.
Here's an unofficial tutorial guide by Dalzk http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/portals.php?show=page&name=demigod-basics-guide-build-order-tips&st=0
The past few betas were available around 5pm EST or later. that's atleast 8 hours from now. You download demigod beta through impulse client. You would need to install impulse if you haven't already http://www.impulsedriven.com
The forums at http://forums.demigodthegame.com/ needs a some fixes. 1. Search doesn't work. This feature works at impulsdriven forum but not here at demigod forum. 2. Giving karma doesn't work. This used to work a few months ago.
This is the box art that amazon.com and gamestop.com used since January.
It's February 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111
Also if you play against someone with a slow computer, it will also lag. In the game, they have simspeed 1 or less. So you can't just depend on 130ms.
Wait until the next patch, most likely this thursday 2/19, for the fix to connect to other people
I've been restarting the game for everything I do. Attemp to join, host, after a game, disconnect, I restart demigod.
Thanks for the information. I think I know where the problem lies and will resolve it first thing Monday morning. Bara
Don't you get Presidents day Monday off? [e digicons]:P[/e]
Most Blizzard and Valve game will have many years of shelf life.
All ranking for everyone (15,000 players) are up http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/pantheon/ladder.aspx?page=2 http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/pantheon/ladder.aspx?page=3 etc.
Yes, this is the case. It's weird because they don't mention that it's the CE at all at the stardock shop. The boxed+digital download is CE. I'm not sure if the download only version is CE, maybe you get the demigod theme (virtual goods) but no action figure (physical goods).
