I have no problems running fraps, taking screenshots and recording video of this game.

4/14/2009 can't come soon enough. Hopefully that date is final.
I hope there is a cooldown for those instant cast health and invincibility.
The new sounds are decent. I turned down the new audio settings to low but didn't help my framerate. Everything else feels just like the other Beta 2s. I haven't tried network games yet since my computer can't handle it.
It's out. Downloading 800mb now.
I think edge scrolling should be enable by default. Also there's attack move, you have to hold Alt and right click. Once you realize there's attack move, the game is a bit easier to play.
"NOTE: System requirements have not been finalized and are subject to change" in their defense... ---------------------------------------------- Same here my friend, I'm on the same boat as you can see from this thread. I also don't like how this game isn't low requirements at all. I just downloaded DoW2 beta and I can play that fine with my P4 radeon x1650. Demigod is barely playable on the lowest settings.
Open beta available tomorrow 1/28 for everyone. http://store.steampowered.com/app/15660/
Dota would have never existed if it weren't for mods. I also wish mods/custom games are in demigod. This would keep me playing Demigod for years after release.
Ok, I added to my wishlist. It's interesting to see Brad make a post on the ign boards that the game is on schedule for 4/14/2009 release. I think he should make that post here as well since I didn't know about it.
I think it's an excellent question and you just get to control 1 hero. It's hard to understand if you never play dota.
Is there a desktop that you could recommend that is around $500 that would play everything well?
If you can build your own, then he's a link to tom's hardware $625 machine. You can get it down to $500 if you get a cheaper cpu (e5200) and cheaper motherboard. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-2-overclock,2113.html
Forget the beta, just release the game now so everyone can start playing!! just kidding...
The league of legends developers call it "Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA)" in a recent interview. I think both games should call it the same genre to grow this new genre.
I mean are the salaries sky-high? What is an average salary of such a developer?
I would say the yearly average salary of a developer would be $90,000. I would guess that a developer at gas powered games gets paid pretty much the same as developer at microsoft, google, apple, etc. Average salary source: http://www.bls.gov/oco/
I never played Dungeon Seige but I played alot of diablo2. It does feel like playing Diablo2 pvp. Although I find the user interface in diablo2 easier to use, maybe I'm used to it. For example, using torch b. reminds me alot about the sorc in d2. The same blizzard spell, similar ice/fireball spell. The demigods feels like they move alot slower than than the diablo2 chars. I never had much of a camera issue with d2, I constantly have to move the camera a
Wow, is it Thursday already? Beta 1 and 2 was delayed a few weeks so I also will be surprised.
Reminds me of warcraft3, try to get 50 wins for a grunt icon. get 150 wins for a better icon, etc. In dota, you can't select the same character, so I think it's a good idea for tournaments to not allow the same demigod selection.
That list to me is just a preview and not ranked in any order. All of them has a top pick icon so the first one doesn't mean #1. Last but not least kinda idea...
I could be wrong but I think the minimap is just for graphic information purpose only. It is not interactive like warcraft3/dota. You can't click on it and expect the same behavior as dota. The minimap is transparent so if you do try to click on it, it will behave as if the minimap wasn't there. For example, try right clicking on the minimap, your demigod will walk the few steps to the location where you just right click as if the minimap doesn't exist.</p
I think Omen is already using edge scrolling. He's saying edge scrolling takes forever or feels like a long time from homebase to the center of the map. In dota, we can click on the minimap and the hero will start walking there. It takes a bit getting used to but you need to use the scroll wheel to zoom out, then click to where you want to go. Same for the teleport scrolls. Zoom out and click on where you want to teleport. It takes a bit of getting u
It's your system. According to this website, your card is rank #116. The card I recommend 8600m is rank #65. The recommended system requirements GeForce 7600 by stardock is rank #73. notebook graphics ranking: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html Demigod system requirements: https://store.stardock.com/product.aspx?productid=ESD-TGN-W293
I think it should be like dota or any other FPS game when you die. You get to watch the battelfield and see how other people are doing. It will be entertaining atleast if not informative and the 30 seconds will go by faster.
In demigod, I think attack move is called Aggressive move.
I agree. I thought it was me not holding down the Alt key but it happens too many times...
