It all depends how well Demigod sells. If it sells less than expected, maybe less than supcom? Then we won't be getting the free updates, free custom map addons, etc. So only if it bombs.... Yea, I hope to see 12 demigods or maybe even 20 demigods in a year or 2. Or atleast allow custom maps which users can create their own demigod like dota.

Yes, there are usually just 1-2 games online. There's not that many people playing because there's a bug with the internet games. Try restarting the game if you have trouble connecting.

I like how Warcraft3 and dota does it. When someone teleports to an area, there's a glowing image on the building for 2 seconds showing someone is teleporting in. Same as what OP is suggesting. I think the teleport scrolls should cost more.

I use Windows 7 and I get the oposite. Demigod has never crash on me and I exit the game normally. Windows 7 reported demigod has crash even though I exit the game cleanly. This happens about 20% of the time.

Yes, it's still open. That's why every day we get someone new posting 'why can't I connect to any games' question. I think there's a limit on the number of beta they give out and that number hasn't been reach yet.

Right now it seems like it's not supported. Demigod uses the new Stardock impulse to play multiplayer games and it doesn't have custom map/mods built in. The developers might add this in after release, or in expansion packs. It is in their todo list but not a high priority.

It's not your problem. It's a bug in the game. Read the forums, there are other people with the same issue. Try rebooting your computer or try hosting a game instead.

I actually have been able to play and connect these few nights. Mostly just 2 player total in the game. Try hosting a game and make sure it says port 6073 and not port 0. btw, I'm running Windows 7 beta 32bit and it works fine.

I totally agree. I find that I have to reboot windows so that I can get the right port to show up. So sometimes I just restart the game, sometimes I need to reboot windows. Also make sure you have a legal version of windows since it uses windows api to authenticate.

There aren't that many people playing in the beta. There's alot more people when beta 2d was initially release. You'll have to wait until beta 3 before you see more people online. The connection issues is a bug in the game. It will get better in the next beta. You don't have to do anything to your firewall to play this game.

I notice the retail price of Demigod is $39.99 at gamestop and amazon. I always thought this game was $50. I guess this puts it closer to other deathmatch arena pricetag games. I wish the download was also $39. I actually thought I was saving $5 when I bought the digital copy.
