I agrree with HWMonitor. You can also dowmload a sidebar gadget to constantly monitor temps. I am using it now. I only have a dual core but it will work with quad cores. You'll need to download the sidebar gadget as well as the tray application, from thehobbylounge.com, and it willl be there on your sidebar.
