Talk to you later. For the version system just add a little text that says the time it was added to your site, and then something like: Updated on: ______ Leave it black if not updated or the date when you updated the file.

HEY! The temp link you have is the exact background I am using for the actual background for the button I am making. :D :D
I only say that because we came up with the issue, do we edit some one elses work and in the end we might have to change it (Events were mainly the problem. Some people would make an event but the way they set it up, they would make a bonus for the good choice on purpose but of course you can't do that. They just didn't realize that.) So do we fix the event and make it negative but of course doing so would change the purpose of the event all together. So we left the issue in the air and just hop
I don't have a graphic as yet but I will come up with one in a day or two depending on what I have to do and then I will send it to you. As for all the mods we have on the CDG GalCiv forums. We were planning on having our own download section and we were going to hold ALL galciv mods but that does not seem to have happened. As soon as I get time I will send you a copy of all the mods on the forum to you. Also another suggestion is to inform people who download mods on your site whether
Thanks for the link added to the install info section. As for the empire, I am a loyal member of the CDG empire even though I don't play the game anymore because of "computer problems", long story, now I just make mods and help other people. I was wondering if you could add a link to the CDG forum in your links section. Just a request. Thanks again for the quick response. http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/index.php
The feedback box bugs me. It wants me to enter a name, e-mail address then wants to know information like server name, POP3 information and other things. Here is a comment I wanted to send but decided not to bother on the site. A suggestion: On your Install Info page you might want to explain to people how to extract a zip file into the correct directory/folder if they did not install their game into the default directory. Also could you please place a link to download WinRAR so peo
The new site looks great. Runs much faster now without the moving images. Great!
They are coming out with the Altarian Propehcy expansion around February. Then they will patch it and leave it. Some time in late 2004 or 2005 they will come out with GalCiv 2 a sequal to GalCiv. It will include better graphics, more in-depth play and much better 3d graphics (From what I hear). So GalCiv2 is not slang for Altarian Propehcy. [Message Edited]
The Star Trek mod is slowly but surely coming along. However we need additional testers and modders. We especially need graphic designers. We are slow at developing images for the major races including video clips to replace those in the game. Any help is very much appreciated. To find out what is going on with the mod go to the link below. http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/index.php?h=1&pf=98
Whats up with the tech tree file posted on your site. What error does it fix with the battleship. I was wondering becuase I have created a mod using the tech file GCTech.tech and I can't replace it so I want to fix the problem myself. Thanks.
I did have all expansion packs and all other updates installed. It just happened I was missing those.
I can't find the Excalibur or antimatter missile ships in my ships file and the tech to get the excalibur is missing from my tech files. Have they been taken out?
GalCiv Writer as of now won't put them in sequential order. It just gives you a suggestion to what the next number is. I hope Hawaiifive-O fixes that some time.
There is now way to view the ship graphics that I know of. GalCiv Writer won't and I have not heard of any software created to view the files. You might, if you have not already, check GalCiv fan sites for a view of the ships like they would look in game. I have found a site that shows a view from the top right side of the ships. Just go to the site at the bottom of this post and click on any ship on the right list. They are not exactly what they will look like in the game but they are close.<br
The link below goes to the home page of the GalCiv Writer. http://www.ctuit.com/bill/galciv.htm The writer allows you to edit files in the game easily without having to use a text editor. Using a text editor you must know all the numbers and what they stand for. Example: (Below is the Soil Enhancement improvement which improves your planet.) On the left are the titles for each possible variable for the imp. On the right are the numbers which give the imp. a characteris
Sorry for the delayed response. There hasn't been any new developements on the mod. We are stuck on the pictures and short movie clips. Tell we can find some one that can do that we can't move along with the mod.
The mod is very active. If you go to the link posted below that is the home of the CDG Star Trek mod. Right now all races and ships are done. We are now working with coming up with graphics to replace the faces, and logos of all the races. Of course we have added 30 new techs and new ships, imps, star base moddels, and much more. If you can make images for our mod just go to the forum and ask to join our team. We need all the help we can get. http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/index.p
School is the real big issue. School has stoped a lot of modders of this game, and the fact that most ideas have already been done. People don't have the time to come up with new ideas and make them. However there is one big project in the background that should be done in a month or so. The Star Trek mod should be out in about a month or two. It would of course include new major, minor races, ships, graphics, music, videos, text, tech tree, improvements, and lots, and lots, of other items. Once
I have an English.str file. It has lots of changes done to it for the 1.05 game. I was wondering if there was anyway to move it over, merge, or something else so I do not have to re-write, copy-paste, all the changes over to the new English.str file.
Actually I am trying to get people to talk about mods created for Galactic Civilizations. Especially the furture Star Trek mod and the Star Wars Mod.
I am in there right now and there are three other people but no one talking.
I like playing at normal, not too hard but not to easy. That is for me.
Thanks for the link. I was hoping for a way to get a poll of everyone involved in GalCiv instead of the largest empires. Thanks again for the link to that thread.
