As inconvenient as it can be, I really don't have a problem with a company shipping a game without LAN support. It irritates me, but I won't fault them for it since it happens all the time. Direct IP is dying to. I do have a very big problem with them not being honest and upfront about it.
that's what I think of the people who think Steam sucks. They never explain a legitimate reason of why it sucks. Oh you have to connect to the internet? Sorry? When you download patches it can take a long time on 56k modem? lol? Steam helps to prevent exploiters by banning the entire account, but they're worried about getting caught in the crossfire... I hope they're equally worried about being struck by lightning and refuse to go outside

I mean I had all the Sims 1 + expansions minus one, and I think all of Sims 2 + expansions except one too but maybe 2 of the stuff packs I picked up for around 7 bucks a

5 on release was a buggy pos that didn't work and ran terribly. Several features they advertised were also not in the game, and some that were in it did not work properly.
Definition: A local area network (LAN) supplies networking capability to a group of computers in close proximity to each other such as in an office building, a school, or a home. A LAN is useful for sharing resources like files, printers, games or other applications. A LAN in turn often connects to other LANs, and to the Internet or other WAN. Most local area networks are built with relatively inexpensive hardware such as

I confess to never having played any of the originals (prior to Elemental, I never was a big fan of fantasy gaming), but this one seems like it could be a lot of fun. It also appears to be a PC-exclusive title, which is always a plus.
Well they killed that pretty quick.

Gamespot has some new info on the game. http://gamescom.gamespot.com/story/6273572/the-sims-medieval-impressions-first-details Definitely not a typical Sims game. I am hoping this storyline they are talking about changes though so it doesn't get stale after too long.

If they do CK2, and I hope they do, I want them to trash most of the CK code. That's been their excuse the whole time with the issues with CK, that it wasn't their code and they can only do so much with it. I'll only acc

Would it be possible for Stardock to send someone around to my house whenever I install it to amputate my left hand and punch me in the vulnerables a bit so I can get that authentic DRM feeling? If you could hold my first born hostage until I decide I never want to play the game again it would probably help too.

About a week from release and still no solid list of MP features that are in the game now. You can sling around insults all you want, which I haven't done by the way, but that doesn't change this fact. There is still almost no information on MP, not even barebones except now we know there is no LAN support on release.
And going by their own statements about not releasing a game before it's ready and their own Gamer's Bill of Rights, they made the wrong decision. Big or small, it's a bad idea to promise stuff you can't deliver. Lack of your preferred features does not make the game incomplete or unfinished. It has what we planned for it to have and does what we planned for it to do at launch. The way it is now is the way it's been

Other people do not get to decide what is inconsequential or set priorities for other people. However, this discussion became an argument over this weird very unStardock like behavior of implying that LAN is somehow the same as being online. If it was a misunderstanding, that putting the word LAN in the subject and mentioning before there would be LAN play, that Brad was not saying LAN was available now, he never bothered to say so. He could have said LAN is not fully supported
