I really would love a Crusader Kings 2 release, almost as much as I would love for these forums to work more often than not. I hate this gimmick thing though. Either they don't know their audience at all (even though I have a facebook account), or this is just a rolling joke for them which is not the kind of treatment fans should be subjected to.

Have fun or don't have fun. There isn't any have fun without Ubisoft button. Theres only so many times I can replay the old before I get bored and I find games as a the pretty much sole form of entertainment I enjoy. Anyway does anyone think that even if everyone who posted on forums abo
The military model in Kohan is built on the concept of companies. You can raise a limited number of companies based on the number and size of the settlements under your control. The composition of each company can vary widely, and this is the basis for much of the strategy involved in combat. A company has one frontline unit type and up to two support unit types, as well as a captain. <br

I do believe you're right. That was an awesome combat system.
I never got around to playi
To sum up the Copyright Holders basic position for the ACTA: You can buy something, but it is not yours - you've just licenced it from the people you paid. Because its not yours, you have to use it like you're told to use it and are not allowed to use it in any other way. If the people you bought it from stop it from working, because its theirs, you can't do something to then make it work, and you're
Well, from the publisher point of view, it is understandable that they are trying to be sure that only paying customers have access to patches. Sadly, everything has a drawback associated with it.
I understand that, but then release it 2-3 years after the initial release so we can access it if some company goes down and takes their patches with them. By then, the pirates have moved on most likely anyways or

If that's the way game companies want to play it, that's their prerogative. If I think they're a bunch of f*ckbags who aren't getting a dime of my money, that's mine. And when I jones for a game, I can always reinstall MechCommander or JA2 or Civ 3 or GalC
I don't think it's about stopping piracy and protecting their valuable IP, since they know they can't curb piracy. It's about pretty much adopting an anti-consumer position, one example of such being killing the second hand game market for example. We as gamers are slowly getting the short end of the stick. They might not even be allowed into their offices. It is also interesting to see people commenting that there is no way Valve/Steam will go belly up. May we remind ourselves of Enron or the more recent problems at BP? [/qu

Really, just because they have built-in tutorials (advisors) that can be turned off for the more advanced players that don't require that sort of hand holding? That's a red flag?
Your use of the word irrational is out o
I was referring to non-civ games. I mean I am sure a lot of people who have watched favorite old series go down becuase of changes intending to grab new players but which wind up making current fans angry and of no interest to fans that were never interested in the series before. This is not always the case, of course, but it happens.
I don't get that vibe at all - quite the opposite, since they even stated in the next sentence that you can enable a more advanced UI if you want more information at your finger tips. They already stated Civ Rev was designed to get new players involved into the more advanced strategy of the flagship game (Civ V proper). I think it sounds freaking amazing from that video and the interview. Man, what a great

Well it's not black white from either perspective. It's one great muddled mess. Sony's rootkit and Starforce were espcially bad. Securom has been known to cause some problems to some parts too, so I am not sure it's much better plus Securom has a lot of varities too. I don't know that Jafo every took much of a stance on DRM so much as piracy, and we all know that piracy can exist with or without DRM. It's really hard to recover from early failure of this scale in a MMO.<br
