iz/dark/darz - I'd love to schedule something with you guys as well, but it seems like our time zones are making it painful. I'll check with my team to see if we can maybe get a game in here and there immediately after work for me (that's 6PM EST). I know that's late for you guys, but if we could knock out a game here and there, hopefully that would work. The only other option would be for us to connect sometime over the weekend

I'm Darz. This login was already taken, so I had to add a 4 -_- During beta and after release I played on GameRanger for 6~7 months, where I met good players (Chocozilla, Bright, gaabriel, Receiver, Zhen, KillMePlz, Sulegna, Hoshi, SantaFuck, St^Apheus, tio, JohnDoe, McLover, namorale, Kratcha, Minus, Cortex, Chafilipop, Anal-Bandit, BoZo, iron, p3ps1, pr0file, Nightey etc... and of course paifas who's actually Iz_). While we play a game, replay data is stored somewhere. If it's on the hard drive, it won't be hard to create a program allowing to live-stream the replay while it's being built. If it's stored in RAM before getting transfered to hard drive (in LastGame.DGReplay), I dunno how to catch it but it must be possible. Live replay have the advantage of being almost real-time, letting people watch wherever they want during the game, and a comentator can create
I think cash prizes are very crucial. They don't have to be necessarily high though. But the more money is involved the higher is the quality of a tournament! Just like poker, if you play for free, 90% of people won't care half way through the tourney. Moreover, money prizes ensures it to go through!
Yes people care. You are far more involved in a match when you know other participants are waiting for the result, will watch
Pacov, in regards to Darz comment, do you think Stardock will set up a sub-forum for us for the tourney? If not, we can use my clans website where i have complete control over the forums (you would too pacov)
You can use http://www.freeforums.org/ which let you create a forum very quickly and for free, too. (for example it took me 2 m

Imo, a forum dedicated to the tourney could be done. It's quick and easy to do. There could be : a section for match results, one thread per match, so people can post comments on it a section for match scheduling a thread with all replays a thread with the tournament chart a thread with the rules a section for issues etc... I tried it few years ago for a tournament on Halo PC, and it worked pret

Do a poll "Would you participate if a 3v3 cup was organized ?". If there are enough yes, create a forum with subsections like "subscribtions", "results and charts", "teams", "misc", etc. People would make their own teams, and people without teams would use the "team" subsection to try finding one. Once there are enough teams, create groups based on your knowledge of players in order to have groups of the same average level. Then create a calendar of the matches. For example
