there are alot of perfectly balanced and useful abilities that require no more skill than a button push to use. the Halcyon's Anima Tempest is like this. So is Kol's Finest Hour.
Anima tempest gives you 30 free strike craft and finest hour boost the kol a bit. Neither of them deals outright damage to the enemy ships. The abilities that can deal damage to enemy ships are Vol nans, Malice, Cleansing brilliance. These abilities should

Limiting targets is not the desired outcome. Reason: what is to be the target limit? 5? Lmao. 10? too nerfy 15? One-click wipe of small fleets, quite useless in big battles. 20? That's already a little OP for what a single cap can do with one click and still not too powerful in big battles. 25 is basically imba. There is no hard target limit that would work. MB will either become junk or will still be the same one-ship, one-click, no-fleet-required imb
And if you ignore the Marza and it gets into the middle of your fleet? Well... it's your own fault
That's pretty much as it is now - you look away, you're dead. It is not the range that is the problem but the fact that Marza can do 87216879164 damage to your fleet over 25 seconds, without any help whatsoever. That's what's imba. A lvl6 cap wiping your fleet with a fleet of its own, that's fair. A lvl6 cap wiping y
Yes it is strange, yes it is sophisticated and yes it is f*cked up. I admit ;p . It was 4AM in the morning and I just threw whatever came to my mind first. Whatever the change is, I still think Missile Barrage shouldn't be outright massive AOE damage dealer. Nothing does that. Cleansing brilliance affects a tight cone of targets. Volatile Nanites require a lot of dps ( = fleet) to work. It shouldn't be nerfed to boot, I don't mind a good ability on Ma
Feed the Marza with XP, that's what.
You nailed it again. So please IC, pimp my Starbase! Well not really. But at least make it a viable option against another Vasari. Or give the attacking Vasari a different tool, something he can use to his advantage and the enemy can not (like torpedo cruisers are for Adv or TEC, like mobile starbase is for Vas against Adv or TEC).
Well, you made a mistake of throwing the starbase alone (it looks like it from your description). I too feel that the disintegrator arrays seem to be more effective against units than structures, rather than the other way around. As in - they hurt ships badly while not being anywhere near 4 bomber squads when used against structures. However, it isn't all that bad. Has high hitpoints when upgraded ( if</s
There's only so much you should do to boost nearby ships. The Marza really is the one with the missiles, not the surrounding fleet.
kek. I didn't mean the Marza to buff nearby ships. I rather meant that nearby ships should increase the Marza's effectiveness. Marza shouldn't be able to wipe a fleet alone. That's retarded. But it shouldn't be a piece of junk as well. Below is one idea to do this, posted by me some time ago. <br
just 2 options availbe imho #1 nerf marza's MB #2 buff 1 cap ship of vasari + advent
#1,5 change Mb so it is not auto-kill when a single Marza lvl6 is present, but so it can be devastating if there is a fleet supporting the marza.
L2read LMAO ;p It does not trigger a right-click command. It triggers all other buttons on the screen. Rotate your camera so the pointer ends up on a cap ship's ability button and release then.
If the enemy fleet has about 100 ships, then... TEC - will have enough Hoshis and HP/armor upgrades to negate 900 damage per target pretty easily
They lost all their shields anyway. Even if shields are only 30% of the TEC ship's durability, it is still something they'd rather HAVE than not. And they just lost it.
Yes and no. Just lowering the damage and leaving the rest of the ability alone would be too much of a nerf IMO. As it is now, it only will kill of LRFs (not countin Illums), and a few support cruisers. It heavily damages HCs, but all the factions have good AoE repair abilities. It's because of these AoE heal abilities that lowering the damage would make MB useless. Just for the sake of argument, let's say that MB would be toned down to deal 900 dam
target cap is 5...
5. I stand corrected. Though I'm sure I've seen my SB shoot more without Max. Firepower upgrade. Maybe I was fooled by the fact that the disintegrator arrays shoot two blasts from different cannons at every target. Whatever, it is still not lvl1 cap, but it is helpless for as long as you're building it. So it really ain't OP.
Well, I don't think I can find a player who would enter a game with me just for the sake of building a Starbase and 30 flak frigs and putting them near the starbase just so I can have a replay of flaks wiping the floor with Vasari bombers. Mindeye's replay shows that it is the quick reproducti
Hi, The tiny change I suggest is locking the pointer whenever you hold the right mouse button. Whenever someone wants to turn the camera around by holding the RMB and moving the mouse, the cursor follows the mouse as usual. When the person is satisfied with the angle of vision, he releases the right mouse button. The problem is that when you release the RMB, the game treats it like a 'Click' wherever the mouse pointer is located at the moment. This caused a lot
its obviously incredibly dangerous once its got a few upgrades going (particularly the frontal shield and its weapon upgrades) but starbases, Orkulas included, aren't really much of a threat when freshly built. mediocre weapons and about as much durability as a level 1 cap ship when freshly built. its probably worth diverting your attention from the Vasari fleet to the Orkulas so you can frag the thing before it gets upgraded to super evil death
Agreed with invisible grav mines idea. They should become visible some distance away, but generally not be seen. They don't kill, but unless the enemy is cautious, they can hinder. Perfect surprise for the careless spammer. Another thumb up for this idea.
They need the resources in order to continue on the Exodus
well, in space you generally don't have to move one way. you have plenty of directions. Don't tell me that Vasari had raped TEC for 10 years and now they have nowhere to go, except death behind them and TEC ahead of them. What about left, right, up, down? If TEC is EVERYWHERE in the galaxy, then how come the poor Vasari have SURVIVED the first battle after TEC rallied forces? surely a race which controls BILLIONS of star
His proposition was to make it fire a fixed amount of missiles. That is exactly the same in effect as a target cap.
it turns out that way, but his suggestion inclined that targets are chosen randomly with each salvo, so that the damage is spread out against large fleets. The thing is, some of us just want MB to become crap so they don't have to worry about it. But I and many others believe that it should not be nerfed
Crash, he is not making any sense. He got into a discussion about how Vasari can assault a developed Vasari starbase and even though I explained (in detail) what happens if armor goes negative, he still thinks I do not know. Somehow he seems to think this is a thread about how useless in my opinion nano disassembler is. It is not useless. But this thread is about starbases (oh no, how could one figure that out?? by reading the OP?? No way) and N-D doesn't help much ag
Just give them Marza.
Lol. 10025 years ago, Vasari began their great exodus in an attempt to escape an unknown threat that annihilated every counterattack. Nobody lived to tell the tale. Now we know -- the timespace looped and Vasari are in fact running away from three lvl6 Marzas some noob sent on a scouting mission.
Could you please, for one minute, stop arguing for the sake of arguing and think about what's quoted below and comment, regadless of whether you think such change is needed or not. I think that my idea keeps MB on top of the "biggest damage dealers in game" while not being imbalanced anymore at the same time.
CONSTRUCTIVE PART: If I were to find a fix to MB, I would suggest that it is not channeled, toned down, and
