The other thing to understand is what will be coming in expansions and dlc. Combat and conflict between civilizations is one of the biggest pillars of the game and at the same time something that may be even harder to really expand upon in future updates. I guarantee you in the future of the game, diplomacy, economy, further customization and more areas open to modding, and far more in depth mechanics and content for all the pillars of the 4X's in the game are coming.

I could see the need for some *war weariness* factor, but, it would also be civilization/race based. The Xor/Borg wouldn't get war weary at all, while something like the humans/federation would. Some considerations would need to be made. It holds up and could be interesting in theory though, especially for a more pacifist society or civilization/race.
You can make parts out of groups of components if you want from your original design. I agree this needs to be added as an option.
That does sound pretty useful. GC2 you could only mark favorites.
Nexus is a site dedicated to modding... many modding communities for different games use it - though not all. I may be mistaken, but my impression is that it has decreased in overall use with the development of the Steam workshop.
Nexus is great for mods that Steam won't host for some reason. Sometimes Steam can be a little finicky about what mods stay on the workshop and which ones don't. I've never

You sure aren't giving me a lot of time between this and Witcher3. How am I going to play two games at once? Somewhere along the lines it's going to blur together into a glorious gaming mash of Geralt flying through space killing Drengin, I just know it. Thanks chief!!
My only fear is there is the possibility of fracturing (too strong a word) of the modding community. I have found that the more we can all agree on maintaining and posting in the same place, the easier it is for everyone. I kind of dislike the idea of posting and updating things here, then on the Nexus, then the wiki....then in the workshop. I'm lazy.
That is a slightly valid concern. With differe
Suggestion for reducing starbase upgrading micro: why not just let players assign planet production to them just like with the shipyards? It would take out the middleman of having to build a constructor and then manually send them to starbases all over the place. And would add a strategic element since starbases outside your borders would be harder to upgrade due to the diminishing returns to production due to distance (players could still fly
Also, the peaceful AIs should at least have a minimal amount of ships to defend itself. In this case the Terran had nothing but the starting ships. The Yor was collecting money like crazy.
If not ships (though those too) maybe a beefier militia. I could have sworn there were some buildings in GC2 that boosted your ground defense forces. Been a while though. [quote who="Illauna" reply="8" id="3
