Are you using the latest version of both mods?

Ah, yes that makes more sense :). mrappard: the game is made by GPG, not Stardock.
What the hell do ragequits and balanced teams have to do with dedicated servers? Your argument is made of fail.
Ironrock is trying to advertise his thread in far too many threads, in a troll-like fashion. @topic: every time I think or say in game "we will lose this" (or something to that effect), we win in the end. It's starting to get ridiculous :D. There is no outside "fix" for this issue.
Neither the title nor the link does tell us anything. I guess he means that the new Demigods will show up as Torch Bearer in the online statistics, however, that's clearly not the case. At least not for Oculus.
At the moment the only thing Impulse does better than steam is that you can actually choose where to install the software.
This can also be seen as an advantage of Steam. It's a matter of taste, probably. Impulse creates files all over the place. There is an archive file location, a temporary files location, a software applications location and a games applications location. With Steam everything is in one place and you always only have to save/copy your Steam folder, if
I disagree too. Without the stats, we have no way of balancing teams and therefore every game is like a russian roulette for everyone. Actually that's not true, without the stats we would just use pantheon.demigodthegame.com again, which will give you the same information, just in a more inconvenient way.
Maybe the guys from PlayerTrack are already working on it ;)
Well I get in to a lobby and the pings were bareable (150 or so) but when I get in the game, right away I notice I can't use my WADS keys to move the camera. My movement was also crazily choppy very unresponsive. As I move in to my lane, I'm unable to use any skills with the 1-4 keys. Later when I'm pushing a tower, I can't stop attacking it. This caused me to get killed and no matter what I did I couldn't stop. I have no idea why these things could happen, can an
Where is everyone? What should a player, that wants to play Demigod with people online, should do?
The game is not dead. If no custom game is open, simply host one.

What is the source for your install? Digital Distribution or DVD?
Imho you should remove enemy gold by default, regardless of the fact, that people can still use an older version of the mod or alter the mod in order to let it show again.
The difference being, in a client/server, it only affects the player with the bad connection, in p2p it affects everyone. Bit of a drama when you have 10 players and you are getting punished with lag cos of someone else's crap connection.
No, that has nothing to do with the network model. This is an issue of data synchronisation and thus happens in RTS games that use client-server as well as in games that use peer-to-peer.
"But it is decreasing the
That's a lazy dev's answer. If cheating is going to be a problem, put in an anti-cheat.
The synchronized simulation is the anti-cheat system.
Nope, I'm saying we were told the justification for Demigod using peer to peer was because there was less latency
The peer to peer system is used for two main reasons: The Moho Engine runs a synchronized simulation. Meaning every client calculates everything and the calculation results are compared with each player directly. This makes cheating without exploiting bugs in the system virtually impossible. If someone tries to force a cheat on to the system, results w

Unfortunately the minimum vertical resolution is 720 pixel.
Yeah, this is the same bug as I described in this thread for example. It's very annoying.
