Could you please remove the 'players online' category since it's totally broken and reports people simply on impulse who have demigod? It's pretty much rendering all of the graphs useless since there are hundreds and hundreds of people not playing demigod who own it but only single digit amount of people who really are and I can't even see how many that is.[/q
Funny seeing that banned message from Steam... so they actually do check for hackers eh? Do you know how many hackers I see online in COD6? Or used to see? I quit playing it.
MW2 does not use SteamWorks. They have their own multiplayer solution.
No, Chris Taylor is pretty active making video blogs for his next game (Kings and Castles). That's just standard GPG, their post-release support is generally pathetic. The number of patches SupCom 2 has gotten is abnormally high for them, though the game was also abnormally terrible on release. Generally speaking I won't buy from them until a few months after release now, after Demigod and Supcom 2 I don't trust them to release a decent
Afraid I'll have to disagree there. If you zoom in close (I did this once, jusdt for my peace of mind. I'm a sad person.) to a tree, compare the rough size of a person to the tree (it's very small even at full zoom), then look at one of the tanks, the scale fits to most modern tanks. I am yet to see a tank that is as big as a tree. Just because they can knock down trees doesn't make them as big as them. The Germans busted into France in WW2
Which, you know, makes sense when you're talking about the various technologies available to the various factions (extracting mass straight from a planet to instantly convert it to usable building materials and energy/mass conversion as a T1 technology).
For me it's not plausible to have human like war machines like the Galactic Colossus that are bigger than frickin' mountains. The Fatboy is totally impractical too, but with the Fatboy I can let it at least pass as plausible.</p
Doesn't the magnetron also give the owner mass for every unit killed by it?
Yep :).
SO the best way to kill it is to attack it from your usual range. i.e. from the ground. It seems to me that you have to use this against artillery or bombers, and anybody smart will simply not attack the Bomb Bouncer.
Yeah it's quite tricky. Attacking it with experimentals often does not work, since many of them shoot from an angle, that hits the shield and never the bomb bouncer. And using regular units, which are of course low enough, is also not easy since the Bomb Bouncer ca

I mean this as no disrespect to Frogboy, but some of his posts have extended beyond the realm of just inaccurate. Beyond that, I have seen no indication of the motivation that GPG has to perform. A GPG rep has been posting, but I don't know his rank in the whole story. For all I know, he could be posting without permission. If that's the case, then there's no reason to believe anything
Haven't seen all of those, but many.
Ok, sorry but... if you haven't even seen all the experimentals yet or at least looked up their stats and descriptions, why do you come here and complain about the lack of interesting experimentals? In fact, with the exception of the Paragon, all experimentals in SupCom/FA are primarily for "killing stuff" (which of course is not a bad thing, since that is what pure, raw war is all about) and their secondary abilities are rarely useful.
btw you remember what is the command to change net lag on the fly? Ive been away for so long I cant remember
Hm... well if you are able to bring up the console, I think it is in fact simply "net_lag", but I am not sure. Haven't tinkered with this stuff in Demigod in a while, so I don't know if it's possible at all to change that value.
This problem is a bit related to the #1. if you r server side instead of p2p, your net_lag will be your ping. League of Legends is a good example of this. 5vs5 and the response time is approx to my ping (+-80 MS)
Yeah, but this means that not everyone is fighting on equal grounds ;). Unless LoL uses some latency prediction.
2- Why does are character take a 0.5 sec approx to react to a command even when not playing online?? Other game respond almost instantly and they are online!@!
It takes 0.35 seconds for them to react, because of the built in net_lag of 350 ms, which enables you to play smoothly with anyone that has a stable ping <= 350 ms. This is there because of the synchronized environment. If this default net_lag was 100 ms for instance, you could only play with people who have pings und
The binkw32.dll file should also be in your \Demigod\bin directory. If it's not there, then something probably went wrong during the installation. Try verifying the installation with Impulse (open Impulse, go to My Games, rightclick on Demigod and select "Verify Installation"). If that does not do anything, try a reinstallation.
