RAWRRR: what exact problems did you experience in a game?
Click on Start, type in dxdiag in the search box, hit enter. In dxdiag, click on "Save all information..." and save the textfile somewhere. Then go to http://pastebin.com/ and paste the content of that textfile there. Hit "Submit" and paste the link you receive after that here in the forum.
You just have to wait a little bit.
"My Posts" only shows the threads you created in the respective subforum. E.g. on https://forums.stardock.com/myposts I see every thread I ever created, however on http://forums.demigodthegame.com/myposts I only see threads, that are created in one of the Demigod forums, or in one of the forums, that are visible in http://forums.demigo
What exactly happens when you try to start it? Have you let it patch to the latest version through Impulse? Post a dxdiag on pastebin.com
If you're concerned, just change your fan speed settings. My 9800 was idling ~ 70 and pushing 80 while playing. So, changed fan speed from auto (which has it idle @ 30%) to 100% speed default, and it idles @ 56 now. I've noticed a difference playing... meh.
Those are normal temperature values. You don't need to set your fan speed to 100% and there shouldn't be any difference.
Depends on the GPU. For reference: the default fan speed behavior of a regular Radeon HD 4870 keeps the GPU at 80°C at all times (idle and load). A GeForce GTX 480 will be at 90° to 95° C under load, depending on the cooling situation and/or ambient temperature.
I figured it would be easier to find some regulars to stay in touch with.
Just join custom games, you'll meet the same people again there too at some point ;)
It is just a game. Get over it.
The "It's just a game" sounds like "Dude, I play the way I want, deal with it. Im not sorry for your loss."
You shouldn't apply that to everyone. At least I feel sorry for the others, when they supposedly lose due to the way I play the game ;).
Thanks magnus! I had no clue . Thought online meant waiting for a game. Why would they have an online status when they cant even receive the messages makes no sense.
It's a generalized messaging system (at least in theory). It shows you as online whenever you are logged in with your Impulse account. Be it on the Forum, in Impulse or Ready To Play. Accordingly, it also shows which game you are currently running.</p
Its always TF2 weekends! "KABOOM in... YOUR MOTHER!"
Hehe yeah, but lately I focused more on SupCom and Demigod again ;). Currently I am in a circle of palying TF2, Demigod, FA and SupCom2.
Hm, I think I have to make a TF2 weekend now :)
Noticed a bug where when autoattacking a series of attacks will do no damage whatsoever. I can only guess at the cause. In theory, I guess it could be possible that every one of five hits in a row were "misses". But that's a very low statistical possibility. Further, it is repeatable, and I'm not sure what causes it to occur so I will try and get a replay.
Did you right click on the enemy while it happened? Any order you give your Demigod
The other morning (right after I installed the patch) I had three invalid states in a row within 3 minutes of the game starting. The same russian player was in every game, I can't remember his name, but he has very good english. He suggested that it occurred each time someone played their first game with the patch. I have no way of verifying that. But it had nothing to do with flags, I can testify to that.
Yeah
Okay, I'm confused then, because what good is an in-game overlay without connecting to a central server to do match making and stats recording which requires you be uniquely identified.
That's exactly what Impulse::Reactor does. But it still does not require an Impulse Account or Impulse installed ;). It's completely standalone.
It sure is nice to be able to say that. "Recent Patch" Ahh, life is good.
True ;). Hopefully there will be another one somewhere down the road.
The bug that I found only applied in a relatively few number of cases, that is only when At least one player was using the Russian localized language version AND The Forces of Light gained flag control AND The Forces of Light lost flag control As you can see, very infrequent. I can't tell you why you are seeming to experience more invalid game states.
This is fixed with the recent patch though.
You should have posted it on pastebin, not here ;) Anyway, try deleting the Game.prefs file.
Every once in a while the Stardock servers act up in various ways. I don't think it's directly related to the patch itself.
Post a dxdiag please (on pastebin).
Still hate the service though, probably not Steam's fault but more because of what my kid did to it, with his enormous friends' list and their chat windows constantly popping up.
Well, that's not really different from Facebook or any kind of community your kid participates in ;).
I have to shut Steam off every day, why? I disabled the 'start with Windows' bit, yet it still runs. It's like a gremlin, infesting my machine.
So, you disabled "
Hi, I suprised that after installing the 1.30 patch that all of the saved replys gone. I cant use the downloaded replays from gamereplays.org too. What do you think about is folks?
Patches always break replays. Replays are just recordings of the commands each player sends. When you execute a replay, it is actually re - played... ;). Meaning that if you made any changes to the game since the replay was recorded, the out come of
The Post Mortem does give xp because it uses knock-back to kill (warriors & archers). Knock-back kills currently don't award xp.
That's a contradiction :D. So do Knock-back kills give XP or not? Or does Post Mortem give XP or not?
I keep getting kicked out of match setup rooms for being a 'noob'. They tell me to go to noob servers, but there are never any listed.
Just host your own. Always simply host a game, when there is no game for you in the list.
