Yeah, I always wondered if they actually do damage at all..
Just to clarify...Protocepts problem was -never- the spiking issue, it was simply not enough bandwidth from the beginning (he had a max of around 13KB/s too low for the game to handle more than 2/3 players).
Err, insufficient bandwidth results in ping spikes too ;).
You need to have the impulsereactor box checked though for 2 ppl on the same router yeah?
Well, idealy yes, in order to use direct connections.
You don't need to forward that port. It's just the outgoing port for connecting to the NAT facilitator. Also, not using ImpulseReactorOptions shouldn't affect the connection with the NAT facilitator. Unless you defined something like 6001 - 6020.

Holy crap! The new beta patch fixed this problem for me :).

Nicely done. 8/10 from me. Positive - The Story: It was clear from the beginning, that this movie is made as a relaunch of the Star Trek Franchise, so that the old films and series do not have to be taken under consideration anymore, or at least not completely. It wasn't clear how it was done. The f
@Denominus: I have no access to the Routermodem, so I wouldn't be able to check that. But I'm pretty sure that there is no transparent proxy involved (otherwise I would have trouble with other games too probably). Also I know from my ISP that the Routermodem is simply forwarding the traffic to one IP in its LAN (= DMZ).
Why do you care if it is "usual" or not?
KAAAAAAAHN!!! Sorry, was just listening to the Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan Overture when I saw this thread... ;]

I hope you can enjoy a relaxed weekend after tomorrow :).
Just the forum or the whole Demigod website?
The manual is also located in the Demigod\bin directory. But selling and dropping items is not mentioned in the manual. They are only explained via tooltips in the game.
No, the minimized window does not show the health and mana stats. But I agree, it would be helpful to let the current mana/health status show in number the whole time, on demand by the press of a button for example. Related to that, it would also be helpful to show the mana requirements for each ability on demand the whole time.
I saw somewhere that everyone who purched demigod would be eligable for a 50% off voucher off. You probably will be notified via E-Mail and it probably will come in form of a Coupon Code, which you can give to anyone you like.

A large part of this is that internet security has increased in recent years. Well, it could still be a software issue. Or an ISP issue. There was a time where I couldn't play 4v4s in Supreme Commander as well. It happened over night, nothing changed that I know of, so I assumed that it was something the ISP did. Months later it was gone.
pseudomelon: yeah, that's more than enough.
The compressed download itself is not bigger than 2GB, as far as I remember.
Also the host/client network doesn't have the problems of p2p with some ISPs limiting it and whatnot.
Although WarCraft 3 uses a peer-to-peer model too.
As far as I understand it, it does not create a VPN. With WarCraft 3 you don't have to worry about port forwarding conflicts with LAN/Battle.Net crossover games in the first place.
