Hehe, not bad :).

Btw. I don't see why these proxies are needed anyway. Most of the time players mark their games as "EU", "East Coast", "West Coast" etc. anyway and European players will join European games, etc., in order to have less chance of lagging. This seems like an unproportionately big effort for something that doesn't happen a lot.
Well, I hope I don't get banned for this but... I have to disagree with you. Many (if not all) of the beta players were well aware of the connection issues and we reported them often. Anyone can search the threads prior to DG's release to find these posts. Here is one: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/340528 Around the time of this thread you also acknowledge how serious the connection issues were (I cannot find the thread where you gave it a 4 out
This doesn't sound like it will fix the "Cannot connect to a NAT facilitator." problem.
Happens to me too. A lot :(. Not just with a simple attack command, but also with special abilities/spells/whatever. I use the ability, click on the enemy, I get no negative response from the UI, yet my Character doesn't do anything.

I have not played it since the day of release. I think I wasted my money as I paid $40 for a subpar skirmish game. The DOTA style is the only thing that stops me from asking for a refund. Biggest mistake was to leave out the most popular par REPLAY of games.
If GPG didn't join forces with Stardock,
Paragraphs! Where are they? Halp!
I always expected Demigod to be a pure Multiplayer game. I didn't know about this one post by Frogboy of course.

I don't want to remove something. I don't really care about being able to teleport fast. I just care about the tediousness of having to scroll at all. The zooming technique is much more convenient and it's already there, but limited for some reason. I really don't think they limited it so t
@nicetrydre: do you get the "Cannot not connect to a NAT facilitator. Please try again later." message? This thread is about that error.
I would suggest to ask stardock support directly for this.
Ah ok. A friend of mine was getting the "Cannot connect to a NAT facilitator." error too, but since today it doesn't show up. It simply says "Connecting to players." without any players ever showing up in the list.
Well it takes quite some time until the error shows up.
Actually it is necessary since clinet/server you have to send your move order to the server the server has to verify it and then send it back again causing more lag.
And in a P2P setup your move order is sent to every player, every player processes this move order and sends the result back so that your client can verify the results too. The server client setup does not introduce more lag than the P2P setup. The P2P setup however makes
Ever since Supreme Commander was introduced, edge scrolling has become an ancient technique to get the camera from one point on the map to another. The Zoom just made it superfluous. Demigod uses the same engine and also supports the same zooming technique. However, in some situations it actually gets a bit tedious. When the UI actually blocks the point you want to zoom too, you either have to zoom in and out a couple of times near the point where you want to go to until it isn't bloc
@Nolc DeadMG is right since this is the Supreme Commander engine there is the possibility and when you move out of the way in WC3 it still hits in SupCom it doesnt so there is actual need for p2p
This is no reason to have P2P, the same thing can be done in a synchronized server-client setup. Not that I am against the P2P network setup of the SupCom/FA/Demigod engine. Oh and Nolc, your spelling is just horrible.</
So you don't eventually get the "Cannot connect to a NAT facilitator." message?
Err, one working day. 28 hours may technically be more than one day, yes. But I emailed on Thursday, got the response on Friday. Maybe that's more clear ;).
Which error do you get?
I emailed about merging 2 accounts and got the issue resolved (and a response) in about 28 hours.
There is no point in keeping playing a game that has been desynchronized. The only causes for desynchronization right now (since modding isn't possible yet) are: bug in the game or playing with others that do not have the same version of Demigod as you.
I realize this may seem like a stupid question, but it seems like my stats and achievements arn't updating. I've gotten the "Regulus the Initiate" achievement three times now, and my name isn't showing up on the player rankings, which is frustrating, because I've been playing very well. I dunno, I'm paranoid that by clicking return to main menu after a game has finished it thinks I'm leaving and isn't updating my stats. (I have been playing Panth
Well yes and no, this is not a common thing that ISPs offer to normal consumers, at least not around here (Germany and Austria). I certainly do not have bonded DSL. The article even suggets, that it is sometimes used in the UK .
