I'm also seeing the same issue. It does seem to be relatively recent and related to the icon grouping feature. One thing I did notice clicking on different parts (left to right) of the grouped icon seems to launch different neighboring pinned applications. For now I've disabled grouping to work around this issue. Also I'm on 25H2.

After a battle around a star one of the enemy ships was destroyed and left some wreckage. The wreckage spawned close to the star, so close, in fact, none of my ships would go near it, even when directed to do so, making the wreckage effectively unclaimable.
Try following these instructions: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/cop9ur/how_to_open_convert_and_save_bc7_textures_with/ just make sure to update the python script to point to the location where you downloaded texconv.exe to.
Seeing something similar with the colors. I've been successful in adding a ship with some altered weapons and abilities. Also successfully modified some existing items, but the colors don't seem to be picked up, though I'm not getting an error during game launch. Looking at the textures however suggests that the texture is the source of color for a beam and the colors in the effects may only be for particle/lighting effects and not the color of the beam itself.
1. Navigating the solar system is a bit tricky because of the lack of zoom capability. Makes finding where you are heading more difficult 2. Resources end up beneath the surface sometimes 3. Lander destruction exploit: If a lander is destroyed ("You died" message) and you hit escape quickly enough, it ends up safely back on board the ship. 4. It looks like I can hire multiple copies of the officer you get at the start.
Primary and secondary type determine which adjacency bonuses are received. The NeighborBonuses section determines which adjacency bonuses are granted.
I checked. It's not in the list, but any race copied from mine does select the system, so there is a workaround... I suppose for it to show up in the list you would have to edit the original internalname item, which would make a mod incompatible. I guess they hard-coded the dropdown to that group, instead of just merging all available systems.
Oh yeah... you can't add custom home systems without replacing that file (append style will not work for the Faction start group) sadly.
Really? I just created a new group (as in, custom internalname) for my own race and that works fine without having to overwrite anything.
IntuitiveAbility unlocks the hive branch of research, but the hives don't seem to be in the game anymore... The research items have no other effects (except for improving the now non-existent hive/mother hives). Remove the techs or re-add the hives. Several upgradable unique improvements do not properly check their uniqueness; after upgrading the weather control system, you can build another level 1. Same for the labor temple/oracle. Lots of spelling mistakes; here's a few:</p
I'm having the same problem with a modded race in the sandbox game. As soon as I click the Sponsor Settings button, the game crashes.
If you need to do a lot of text comparing you might want to look at tools such as WinDiff (free), Meld (free) or Beyond Compare (30 day trial). They really make merging changes from multiple sources a lot easier.
Small, AA is currently at 4x, zoom to cursor is enabled, bloom enabled, lean maps enabled, gel ui enabled.
I too have the wobbling icons (while it doesn't bother me that much), with or without AA, at the native res of my monitor. It actually happens when moving and / or zooming and looks a little like a force directed layout settling after a few iterations, since the wobble continues for a few moments after the zoom and/or move have already ended. Then again, the wobbling seems to end around the same time the hexes just outside your territory settle their appearance (they tend
Actually a signed int32 ranges from ~ -2.1 billion .. 2.1 billion, so not a factor 2, but a factor 2000. Plus you could easily switch to a int64, which ranges from -2^63..+2^63-1 (–9,223,372,036,854,775,808 to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807). I suspect this wasn't done to save a little on memory, but the 1000000 limit seems a bit low. As for the CTD, was your system close to reaching its memory limit?
This will probably prevent upgrading the starbase module for anti-missile defenses: StarbaseModuleDefs.xml, Line 1110: CounterMeasureModule The extra space needs to be removed, as the module name does not have the additional space.
Well you could probably make a race trait as a prerequisite to building it and have players select it when they are setting up their race. Not ideal, but it would prevent the AI from using it (unless they are also set up with the race trait).
True, but I prefer to keep my base game folder as clean as possible (even though the naming scheme made it easy to separate them from the base game files). I vaguely remembered reading a post that the 1.1 patch would allow designs to be properly used from the user folder. That's why I tried.
First parameter is I believe the number of planets to apply this feature to (there may be an off by one bug here, as there used to be, unless they fixed it). Second parameter is I believe the number of tiles to terraform. Third parameter is the minimum quality to terraform 0..1 with 0 being the worst quality tile and 1 being the best.
I think it may be related to the change in AI design behavior: The AI now tries to use "the best defense", but I suspect it may be determining this in on a purely numerical value and if 2 items happen to have the exact same value it will simply choose the last/first one every time.
Gauntlet, why do we need to install some of the files in the main game folder? Stubborn as I am, I installed everything into the my games folder and everything seems to be working, at least as far as non-player factions are concerned.
Add "cheat" to the command line options. That should allow you to access the dev console. Can't say I've had any issue with ship designs causing crashes. Maybe you should list which ship designs seem to crash for you.
Don't forget to enable mods in the game menu.
I meant the logo. When looking at the race in the editor they do not seem to have a logo set, perhaps you forgot to include it in the package?
Your ship designs aren't missing they are simply over the mass limit because of changes to ship component mass. To make those ships show up, go into your game options and turn on the option to show ships that are over the mass limit. You can now access your ship designs. You will have to edit them to actual build them, unless of course you can build them at a later time when the appropriate miniaturization tech has been developed.
Those are some good looking ships. Could the min b Zari be missing their icon? They seem to be displaying a random icon / no icon in my current game.
