Possible improvement for mines in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

I've played entrencment for about two hours now (then it crashed, but thats ok, still beta) and i can't help but get annoyed at the mines. not running into them mind you, but getting them to be effective. if i let the mine ships sit there they crap out the mines but only in a close perimeter. it would be really nice if they would move about on their own or if i could set a path for them so the mines would be distributed evenly (seeing as they're useless if the ships don't come close enough).
