What some people seem to ignore is the abuse of the rights supposedly guaranteed under the constitution, especially freedom of speech. Hate mongers love this and hide behind it. If this smacks too much of politics feel free to delete it.
"supposedly guaranteed"? The point, is the government has no right deciding what speech is or isn't permissible. Once the government gets involved t

I cannot find the program causing problem. I was sure it was Start10 since that's the one I have that modifies the Start menu but disabling it and rebooting doesn't fix. I disabled WB10. Not that one either. Ditto for DeskScapes and WinFX 6. Maybe it's a combination of more than one SD program but I don't have the patienece to try all of them. I guess I'll open a support ticket. I called MS in case they had seen it. She told me t

I have no idea what's causing this. I uninstalled Start10 in case it was the culprit. If I boot with no SD programs running I get a clean start menu. I have not yet tried disabling one at a time and rebooting. Was hoping someone else had seen this and knows which program is causing it and a workaround. As you can see, when I display the default start menu, all applications, there are alphabet letters overlaid over the menu. Turning off all SD programs a
Fences is now working. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fences again, this time as administrator and it seems to be working again. There were no errors or warnings during the first reinstall but decided to try admin rights the next time.
UPDATE: Fences is now working. Ok, thanks, I found the Run option and it's active in my SM10 menu. DeskScapes 8.5 has been a CPU hog even on Windows 7. I haven't found a single dream that makes a difference. Someone else has noted the DS unload problem after a monitor comes awake. I can't find that thread to see if a fix was every discovered.

Overall, the SD programs hog 81% of my CPU. It goes from 99% to 18% after I unload all SD programs. What works: CursorFX works well. WindowBlinds 10 seems to skin everything correctly, including Chrome. Too bad Modern apps can't be skinned. Ugly! Start10 works great but missing the Run... command entry. In combination with OD or ND you cannot pass in the Ctrl key to invoke the standard W10 menu if wanted. Objec

Works ok but two issues. The major one is it's extremely slkow to respond. The minor one is I can't use Ctrl-click on the Start Menu icon to invoke the default W10 start menu when I want it. I guess OD does not get keypressss passed to the icons.

Double-clicking on the desktop reveals my Fences but I cannot do anything with them. The icons arew dead, the fences cannot be moved. The fence menu doesn't do anything and couble-clicking to hide the Fences doesn't work. I have them automatically disppear after a few minutes if I have a window open and that does work. I can't find the threads where people were having similar problems. Was there ever a resolution? I'm running W10 64 bit

The right-click popup menu on the desktop is unreadable with any blind other than the default W10 theme. A reboot cleared up that problem but now I have a runaway DSHost Application. Shutting it down through task manager has lowered the CPU usage without breaking anything. New update: Killing DSHost has killed the right-=click completely now as well as paused my DeskScapes dream. What is going on???

I'll leave this post up in case anyone else makes the same mistake: I forgot to disable WindowBlinds 8. I just upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit. I then tried to Install Start10 and the alert box asking me to confirm the install has no buttons. If I hit it closes the alert. I tried WB 10 and the same thing happened. This is not a Stardock problem, I imagine but does anyone know how I can get the bu

Control-click select multiple dreams. That will enable the random background option. However, there only seems to be the option to change dreams every xx minutes rather than after completing the loop. You might suggest the feature you want directly to Stardock.

You always have the choice to turn off WindowBlinds for a particular application. See if that helps with Skype. Start the WindowBlinds configuration program. Click on the gear wheel and then choose the Per Application tab.

I've noticed lately that if I have DeskScapes running, my PC becomes very slow, and task manager says upwards of 90% of the CPU is in use. As soon as I pause DessScapes, CPU usage drops to 15% or so. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Is this a known problem? Is there a process I can stop that still allows animated wallpaper without killing the CPU?

I have yet to make my own dream file but I noticed on the Windows 10 upgrade advisor (part of the Get Windows 10 app) the only software it pointed out as incompatible is DreamMaker. I would not have though DM uses any OS specific calls to create dreams from video files. 1. Is DM compatible? 2. Are there any important programs (not just Stardock programs) that are definitely incompatible? I realize "important" is in the eye of the beholder
