Lol I think they should do what the Kol does, instead of targeting fighter, have it fire flak instead.

Yes. Rebellion requires steam, and I think like the expansions will only be digital download only. In regards to updating, every time you log into steam, it checks whether or not there is an update, and it will automatically download it. No, you need steam to run games.
Who here thinks the corvettes should be more durable, even more than the scouts?
Thank god. I am still playing Simcity 3000.
If they are planning on releasing the next two factions biweekly, we have two weeks to mod the Tec before we move onto the next faction so by the time the game gets released in six weeks (quite ambitious right now considering the state it is in) we would have the mods ready to roll, perhaps after a few more tweaks.
Now that rebellion has been released. What are the team's plans for it? Will there be rebel of each race or will you guys stick to the main story line of the three race? I am pretty sure this was discussed but now that Rebellion is back in the forefront instead of rumors and speculation perhaps these things needed to be revisited.
Will the achievements be carried over (the ones that we already achieved)?
I have read somewhere there was a thread back in the early days of Rebellion where people and dev discussed whether or not to raised the cap higher. I guess that has been dropped.
[quote who="Thoumsin" reply="5" id="2010187"] it shouldn't hit the the barrier in normal play unless people are using a crazy mod. Thank to call 7DS a crazy mod... the barrier is not related to the system... using linux and sins, i can use fully my 16 gb ram... some game have go over the 10 gb... the barrier is the limit on the number of mesh and texture that YOU have put in the engine... For info, we are in 2009... when the
Although if you are asking if Rebellion will contain Diplomacy elements, the answer is yes. Edit: It already has diplomacy elements.
Lol when I first saw it I was like cool I could build a full titan with only tier 1 research? Although I want to see a debate on whether or not the Titan research should start at Tier 1, perhaps maybe even 4 with at least all of the other combat weapon system upgraded first. Not only that, each tier should requires all of the weapon research that is available before research that tier of titan. Although this is more a modding/balance issue.
Lol I though that too, until I looked at the research stuff and got it.
Although it kinda defeats the purpose if the saves are broken after every patch
Also the problem with the beta is that it only has the TEC units in it. So there won't be much to mod, although it would be nice to see what is different from Rebellion to Diplomacy even it is just the TEC side we are looking at.
Wow slant you are already horribly out of date. Beta started today. So I think the modding kits will be out very soon. Note to all: Now that Sins has pre-order with Paypal, and I will be picking it up tomorrow. I will get around to putting together the first beta testing of dynamic movement. Obviously as Distant Stars research facilities come back online, I will be working with the team closely to make sure that dynamic movement isn't looked as a aside but rather part of the core
I am not sure if space pirates would be like Earth's but let's hope they aren't like the Borg the very least.
IF there were I wished I did.
I know I am sorta late the party but Titan only takes up 3 cap slots, I mean seriously if it takes a fully upgraded starbase to destroy a level 1 Titan surely it should cost more than 3 cap slots.
sometimes people just don't have comments. Like I personally like to say, if you don't have any thing to contribute, don't speak.
How long is the "limited time".
Do we post here or on somewhere else?
[e digicons]:borg:[/e] I can't wait for the day I could surf the web using my brain. Can't wait for the day I can search without people knowing. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
It isn't modded. I believe it depends on the ship's velocity and the mass of the ship and the animation is dependent on the explosion animation, which is "CapitalShip0".
Because independent developers don't have Microsoft people coming in and go crazy optimizing the engine for Windows. Unless the other game engines that are commercially available, where they have been perfected over many years, with teams of 20 or 30 people gutting the engine every few years and totally re-writing it. You got to remember that even if they have had insane programmers and have it heavily optimized, with few hundred models with thousands of polygons, you are
As for the first, I don't know how it was done. But for the second, you can just change the max mine count on each of the planetary files.
