By the way, I vote squares. I find the shape of the hexes more distracting for some reason when the grid is turned on, and I like the grid on. and Paul's rationale during the dev stream that hexes look more 'science fictiony" isn't a good enough reason to change IMO.
My fantasy for the battle viewer is that it looks like the battles in the opening intro movie in GC3, complete with kick ass dramatic music.

The TC whining just has to stop. Moo2 was a tactical game to begin with, X-com was also...Galciv was not. They aren't changing or watering down GC by removing TC. It was never there, and shouldn't be.

I do love Nimoy in Civ. I'd support a similar thing in GC, a good voice that reads the techs when they're done researching.

Agreed. Just because SD gave us access to the alpha doesn't make us SD employees. They're going to make the game they want to make.
