Something's wrong here for sure. My PC pales in comparison to yours and runs EWoM flawlessly.
Because frankly, it runs pretty poorly. The game slows down so quickly as to become very unplayable in a short period of time. This has become a deal-breaker for me and I finally uninstalled it today. From reading the forums, it seems like performance is pretty dire across many systems. My PC has a Windows experience ratin

Stardock games are never "finished" per se. They are constantly being worked on and improved.

what do harbors do exactly? I've never built one...
It's a shame that you have to focus on warfare so much in the beginning just to keep up. I'd like the choice to concentrate more on magic, or improving my cities. But you really can't do that, or you get walked on.
RANDOM EVENTS! YAY!
My package from Amazon just arrived in the post. I opened it to find it... didn't contain GC2. Oh no! However, upon closer inspection I found it contained something called "Space Unlimited Compilation" which includes GC2 as well as three other games. No idea why I was sent this, I didn't order it, but I can't complain. So now for less than a quarter of the price of the digital download for GC2 I have GC2
I long for the old days, circa Civ II. That game came with a huge, inch and a half thick manual that covered every damn thing in the game. Now, Civ V doesn't even have a real manual.

How many "Is Elemental fun yet" threads do we really need? If you haven't found it fun yet, then you probably never will.

Did you see the conviction and desperation in her tone, expression, and body language when she was pleading with Bastion? The way the scene was cutting back and forth between them makes you look at it quite differently when you watch it as an adult. But boy did she make him say her name.

I voted for the TheProgress's quest. That witch sounds hot. (plus I liked the quest)

I still would prefer Galciv2-style random events and mega events instead of quests...
those are awesome...can we assume these are the finalists then?
Thing is, though, right now we have no choice but to let the AI do it.
It's different now though, because there aren't any tactical battles. So the AI is much better at accurately calculating who would win just based on numbers. The combat we watch in GC2 is just cosmetic (which is fine by me).
another problem I have with implementing tactical battles, is that because they happen on a 2d map/plane, even if the battles are automatically fought, it will be on a 2d plane and we will lose the cool 3D combat viewer battles. It will be like watching a checkers game play itself out.
It's too bad that the top five are voted on by forum members, that just makes this a popularity contest.

There isn't too much anyone can do with only 5000 characters.
