I don't see a different between rage quitting or invalid gamestating - both end the game prematurely, its just that one ends it at once, while the other leaves your allies with a loss. If the stats actually kept track of wins/losses and meant something, I might feel differently.
first off, for you guys saying, Oh, i might be next to get banned because i have an even better win percentage then SR... The Reason he is banned is because of the comment, and the Desync, not because he wins more then he loses, or quite a few players would be Banned for being to good, this is not the case...
The reason we are bringing up win percentages is because it was brought up in an earlier reply as a more likely reason to be guilty. Any chance of that skin being released as a WindowsBlinds skin as well? It would be cool to have my whole interface match my game.
This is like an ebay auction where anyone can bid, bids do not have to increase, the auction ends at a random point, and you still get negative feedback.
Speaking of futile.. I insist that this is a foolish thread, a dumb idea, and encourages bad behavior. This thread should be locked immediately. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
We have issues with players, and will continue to do so. One reason Stardock has to tread so carefully is that they have an on/off ban switch. Some more options would go a long way to scold players for doing dumb things. These options need to be easily implemented by Stardock - not Gas Powered Games - and should be discouraging, but not life ending. My ideas: - Rename them. Change their username to "ILikePinkPonies" or "SometimesICheat." - Drop
Very different skills. Spit is the UB's method of saying "Hey, you don't want to come up close? Take this!" The circle of fire is more of "Come on, contest me at this flag, I dare you" or "I'm going to burn down two towers and a creep wave." Sure, it may be easy to avoid, but not in larger confrontations.
Yeah - naming replays would be nice, but there are a host of things I'd rather see them working on at this point.
Regardless of what he's said, I very much doubt SocialistRyan knows how to invalid gamestate hack. He goofs around a lot, but he's a damn fine player (he won some cash in a demigod tournament, if I recall). The fact that he doesn't lose isn't suprising when you consider who he plays with, and against. I've never seen him do anything cheating wise. Make crass comments, but NEVER cheat.
Nucleus, sorry about the trouble! Heres some karma to ease your suffering. If you would download the problem report app at http://sd.stardock.com/Demigod_report.zip and run it right after your next glitched disconnect game, then raise a ticket with stardock, it would help. I've been trying to do the same with my problem matches, but have had a lot of issues getting the files through to them.</p
What's the rush you get from Demigod? What's your favorite moment in a match? When the announcer shouts out that light giants have joined the battlefield? The first kill? For me, its when a team mate is about to get ganked, and I teleport in and we kill them both .
Assuming a regular 3v3 Cataract matchup, a cost of 1200 gold gives you a nudge forward in exp. That means that, other things being equal, you will hit your next level a little before them. This gives you some twenty seconds between creep waves where you have a full level advantage over your opponents. Now, what does this mean in game terms? In cataract, you split up, two on one side and one on the other. Exp 1 means that the guy 1v1 in his lane is going to have
Without dropping, you managed to get 0 favor points. Amazing. :) Try raising a ticket on the Stardock website, so we can be sure they know about it.
If the T-Rex stood up straight a bit more, and the catapult extension grew out of his backbone a bit, I think it would sit more naturally. I'd do a mock up, but I don't have photoshop on this computer.
I've often thought a draw function would be nice and I'm sure my group would use it often. Its rough to have a 62 game winning streak end just because you decide to play an inhouse match or your team mates drop.
I just received an e-mail from stardock, asking for me to run their report program after the next crash. In case one of you experience it before I do, here's the letter:
Hello, We'll need to gather some information to help solve your issue. There are log files that refresh every time the game is closed. Immediately after a crash, disconnect, or lack of connection can you please close Demigod and follow this link in Internet Explorer to gather those log files
We'll be okay, worst case we'll start 1v2ing Tim. Enough drinks and it should be an even match!
The best way to go is to talk to your team mates in Pug games, friend them, and ask them to play with you when they're on. Pacov also runs balanced vent server games, where you can meet some great players to play with in some competitive matches. Personally, I'm a big fan of playing with a small group on vent. I try and invite people whenever I can. We're usually a friendly bunch, although drunk and disorderly sometimes (hedgie can attest). Best of luck finding
From what Pacov has guessed, the host of the game reports the game information, and then one other randomly selected player. It is annoying. I think Stardock is aware of it, but not sure - you can raise a ticket about it on the stardock website, just to make sure its in their books.
Patience. :) We're six months in, and we've had significant updates to the game already. I can think of quite a few games that had serious issues, and some of them were fixed by a patch that came out a year after development, and then they slipped into obscurity.
Chill. :) Raise a ticket with Stardock at the stardock website. Relax. Have a drink.
What if, regardless of attack or defense or territory, your Sovereign flees to the capital city. The catch is that they move one square per turn (being in hiding). You would not be able to cast global spells, or regain mana for such spells, during this period. Once he gets to the city, he begins to heal, starting at 1 HP. This penalizes for being on offense more than on defense, but doesn't take away the risk of saying "I'll just stick him at that city I just stole f
[14] Aha, the lack of a description in the title/no explanation in chat made me wonder.
Not sure there is a clean fix for this yet, but hopefully with the new overlay they're taking a look at it. One things for sure, if you ever see all the messages frozen on frogboy's screenshots, you'll know the issue is well known. :)
Thanks for the added details Pacov, and the karma (half of mine is from you!) . I just raised a ticket for it (FJL-342058), I didn't even realize Stardock had a ticket system!
