The concept of incest doesn't really phase me one way (or the other :P). I'd rather it be a robust system, and if it happened to allow incest, that's fine. I'd hate for the cool concept of royal families to be stifled just to be PC. As for the bonus/holding back, not marrying your two sibblings to two other nations is really going to hurt you politically. I'm not sure there is enough to gain to bother addressing it.

My thoughts, in no particular order: 1) That's a sweet building! Is it rented, or does Stardock own it? I didn't realize Stardock would need that much space! 2) The Stardock logo on the side looks really classy. 3) Oh, that's a very, very nice looking Porsche. I wonder how many miles it has on it? Maybe I need to let frogboy win the next 3v3 matchup. 4) Classic "I'm just running in to do one more thing and then rushing h

That's a good point MIK - it would be nice if you could set a default currency on your impulse settings, and then they could use PHP to display the right amount. Not so much here, but on the impulse store sale pages at least.

A short and sweet props for picking up Majesty 2! I know a few of us made a mention of being hopeful that it would happen, and so it did. :) I'll be sure to buy it through impulse. Any info on that majesty gold bonus? I don't mind being charged right away if I'm getting a special bonus.

We received a 20% off coupon already, and word is we'll receive another one when the patch situation settles down. That makes it $32 to digital download, which is about what it would cost with tax anyway. :)

Great information, thanks for taking the time to answer so many questions. :) ShakeNBake, you should wait for Pacov to make a new question thread, but I'll pitch in my two cents: 1) If I recall correctly, the rankings are based off of the chess ranking system. This means that there isn't a set amount of experience for a win or loss - its based on your opponent. Playing solid opponents and winning leads to greater exp gained then pub stom

I had a sick feeling when I saw the thread locked, but after taking a moment I can definately say it was not without reason. There are some really, really frustrating posts in that thread. I think my eyes have gotten used to just skipping over posts that annoy me. :) I agree with ZehDon - the purpose of the thread was to give a place to voice, and it would be nice if pacov's second thread was moderated by deleting posts that are off-topic, or just ignored. After all,

This is continued from another post, because the conversation ended prematurely. The original thought was this: [quote]It seems that low upload bandwidth users cause the majority of the lag issues. These users do fine in 2v2, and sometimes 3v3, but fail horribly in 4v4 matchups. Could proxy connections be used to split a packet multiple ways, so that the user only has to upload one set of information, which the proxy wou

Sort of a long rambly question, but here goes: It seems that low upload bandwidth users cause the majority of the lag issues. These users do fine in 2v2, and sometimes 3v3, but fail horribly in 4v4 matchups. Could proxy connections be used to split a packet multiple ways, so that the user only has to upload one set of information, which the proxy would then duplicate to all of the players in the game?

That would do a lot for the community. Pacov, want to start the first thread? I'd suggest the questions wrap up on the 31st, and then Frogboy can answer when he has time. It would also be great if the thread maker read through the questions and summerized them in the first post, so he doesn't have to scroll through pages and pages of questions. Some guidelines would be good as well. Here are my suggestions: 1. Please state your question in the for

Guild Wars was stunning visually when it came out, and had a great 8 on 8 PvP system in Beta. The game then broke down as different strategies became "Op." What I really liked about GW, though, was that it had a max level of 20, and so the game was more about competiting then it was about mindlessly gaming. It was the only game I know where you could jump in with a premade level 20 character and have a blast. Last I heard, Guild Wars 2 is scrapping that identity and

You still have the top menu bar and the start menu, depending on how you set it up. I run in windowed mode with two monitors without an issue. Just do some tests first and don't resize in mid-game - Demigod is kind of crash happy when it comes to resizing the screen and tabbing to a different window.

I'd say the majority of the problem is that (1) there are not enough decent players out there and (2) there aren't enough players out there for the beginners to get better with. And I'd like to add that the top people on the ladder are also the ones who glitch disconnect the most.

For now, I'd keep the statistics in for custom games. The only thing I use stats for at the moment is to check out my custom game opponents. Ideally, if we could seperate them into different ladders for skirmish/pantheon/custom, that would be preffered. Once there is a Pantheon premade option, dropping custom game rankings make sense.
