There appears to be a bug with the social population growth rate upgrade. I colonized two terran planets at the same time and upgraded one with all the social upgrades and the other with all the industrial upgrades. The population of both planets grew exactly the same even after all the social upgrades were done. They both reached 220 population at the same time.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Wait, 1000 pop? Only if you have a TEC envoy with it's 3rd ability at your socialized terran or ocean.. And with humans it's not likely to happen [e digicons]:|[/e]

How come that with resistance of 1 you can stop and push back like 10 or more culture spread rate towards your planet? Yes, it's working now, thanks for the help.
try restarting steam, might be he doesnt update your game until you restarted steam.
It was still paused, but I fnally found how to resume it.. was looking for other options lol, i'll post how it turns out.
It's probably the inverse... If you hit a planet with social improvements with the delierance engine will it spread at the increased rate.
Why? I dont understand why should it spread by a brutal amount like 400-500 on a socialized planet.. And those are your enemy's upgrades..

It says update paused?????? It is set to auto-upgrade Sins Of a Solar Empire, and I tried to connect to public games, not friend games. What can I do now? EDIT: I am not a master of Steam, I hardly ever use this program, only for playing Sins and Endless Space, so that's why I ask these questions.

Hi guys, I recently wanted to play online the DLC, but when I try to join a game that's title says ...DLC, I can't do it, it says the host and me have different version numbers.. Is there a new patch for Rebellion 1.5 and the DLC? If yes, why didn't Steam download that immediately? It is set to auto-upgrade stuff.. EDIT: SOLVED, the update was stopped, just needed to resume it.. didnt know Steam can do something like that..
Does the Auxiliary Government prevent you from losing the planet even against the culture?
No, only protects against bombardment. I guess the logic is, even the starbase govenrment rebels against you :D but not losing the starbase and structures of course.
So what could it be?
it definitely should be about diplo and culture.. Or the best would be making the factions unique. Exploration is now fine, and balancing isues are for the patches for rebellion. Hm it would be nice if they gave NAMES TO THE FACTIONs, it is strange to see, hey, we are TEC Rebels, understand? we are not TEC, but we keep using that name to refer ourselves.. i suggest changing this threads title, putting in "false alarm" or something :)

Hm I have found another planet bonus that does not show everything it actually does, but it is written with words.. Planetary pollution decreases allegiance by 5% but it is nowhere written, I can only guess from the max allegiance value.. I think every planetary bonus that changes allegiance have this problem, they do not show the amount of which they change allegiance with.. Only mentioned in the description with words that it does something with it.

If you build refineries on a terran with 700 population, it could give more income than a terran with full industry, if my instincts are right, though not based on calculations, but would be good to see refineries actually be useful..
If it doesn't, IT SHOULD...
why? still they will be inferior to trade ports.. but if you actually think of social specialization, where trade gets severe penalty, there refineries may actually be useful..

They even forgot to make envoys cost 4 supply (but this will surely get fixed as Yarlen said).
After several games played I found something that is quite annoying. More planet types, the less value in upgrading their population by research.. The increase is so small.. In non-DLC they are somewhat fine, because they are actually something if you own 2-3 or more of volcanics. or ice, or desert, but now they are very small, you are not likely to get more than 1 of each type in a edium sized map, and on random medium, random medium large it is big luck if you find more than 1 of the planet
