If you leave the game early it should be a loss and you shouldn't get favor unless you've played for at least 15 minutes. This is reasonable time period for players to determine that the game is unwinnable. It's one thing to quit when the game's just started, it's another to quit when there's no possible way for your team to win. The disconnect stat should be reserved for when the connection is lost entirely. The more important issue is if all players
If you're really that desperate to waste gold, you'd be far better off buying an item for a teammate and dropping it in front of them.
Not necessarily a waste.
Umm, at some point they were planning to stop letting you keep your favor points from custom games. They may have put that into effect, are you playing custom or pantheon?

What the fuck does tl; dr mean? It looks like something those idiots at 4chan would come up with.

It's completely fine against players. Why? Why do people have a problem with demigods getting moves that hit towers and players?
Because those moves tend to be better than uproot which is tower only. Also what infinite vengeance said.

That is essentially temporary immunity to status effects. Sure you'll get hit with the next cast, but none of the immunity granting abilities will save you from that. I
Ah but a common choice for the 3 DoT Build is the Staff of Renual, which is a Favor Item. So I shouldn't pick a favor item that'd compliment my build, just because I sometimes want to counter a spit. Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense.... yes, that was sarcasm. Still doesn't address why we have such a useless 250 scroll sitting in the Mutli-Shop.
It does make perfect sense. Games are all about making hard decisions. If there aren't any of these,
Yes, we're a giant community of noobs and every tactic that's remotely good or effective is cheating. Backdooring is cheating. UB spit is cheating. QoT shield is cheating. Reg mines are cheating. Oak shield/hol combo is cheating. Sedna's heal is cheating. Oak's last stand is cheating(we really don't like oak). Erebus bite is cheating(we don't care that it's been nerfed, it's still a cheat, how can you gain health when you do damage? It doe
Choose your favor item after you see the build then. People pick their doctrines in Company of Heroes a long ways into the game because they don't know from the start which will be most useful against the opponent's strategy.
That's a good point. It would probably work well in the vicinity of the normal archer towers too. Usually 3% chances are worthless though.
Killing or driving off other DGs enables you to cap more flags. Capping more flags wins dominate matches and let's you get giants sooner in other matches(which often wins fortress and citadel). I'd say it's pretty damned important to be able to do this based on flags alone(and flags are not the only benefit).
While I will admit the game needs more variety, I think these are all bad ideas. If your character gets more powerful in the course of the round(which I think we can all agree is a fun and good mechanic), it should only be as a reward for good performance earlier on in that same round. It should not be because you weren't screwed in the first thirty seconds by the map pouring a vat a of boiling lava over your head or you were closer to the special enemy when the game randomly deci
Regulus and Torch are fine they don't need any buffs. I think Queen of Thorns has some issues that need to be addressed though. The other DG are mostly alright. I seriously think UB is deadly enough as he is without buffs, and this is coming from someone who plays almost exclusively as him.[/quot
Favor items should be more powerful and available to all players from the start of the game. They should play the role of your doctrine choice in company of heroes. They should not be persistent rewards that make you much better than the poor sods who can't afford them yet.
Overall statistics don't take into account skill thresholds before something becomes overpowered. If erebus is only overpowered at a very high level of play, the stats won't reflect that. This is the reason that leaderboard balancing is completely foolish. If you just look at what wins the most, you see what is easiest for the most people to win with, not what is the most powerful.
I keep reading in the forums that going for kill swaps is bad. I'm not entirely sure why people are saying that they're always bad and not situational though. If you kill a guy, then die on his team's towers, you get full gold for the kill and a bit of experience. He will get 0 gold for the assist because he was already dead and no experience. Assuming equal levels, you get the same death penalty so it seems advantageous to me when you actually get thi
Exile is just bad. The flag bonuses aren't even balanced.
I don't think it should be able to affect towers. It's an amazing assassin style skill, why does it also need to push more effectively than the QoT's uproot?
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I think you should add bestial wrath to UB's list. It may be a percent based skill and theoretically should therefore do tons of damage late game, but the fact is it takes you half a second to cast it and they know immediately that you've cast it because it takes another half second for you to roar at them so they know to just walk away and let most of the effect run out.
All wrong man. All wrong. Seriously, if you are not maxing out Venom Spit and stacking +speed items, then you should go play an easier demigod, like rook or regulus.
If there's only one way to play a specific DG, then that DG needs significant tweaking. With only 8 DGs, we need more playstyles per DG to keep things interesting. Yes, I do realize I just said almost all the DGs need significant tweaking :P. I agree that a spit centered p
