You can switch forms while moving. If you see an incoming creep wave or need to gank a guy, it's a simple matter to issue the move command, open up, then spike/wave them. If timing is going to be critical, you can open up when you're heading in to gank. It's true that the bonuses are less important once you've got a heart of life out, however, every little bit counts and you are a lot less vulnerable when you're wandering around in closed form. There's no clear disadva

Fire Nova is amazing vs creeps. The whole thing where it makes them fly into the air means the ones that don't get killed outright will die because they went flying.

I liked going for an all out AoE hybrid(focusing on ring of fire, ice storm, freeze, and that explode thingy). You get a lot of damage off and level very quickly. Trouble is you're more anti creep than anti DG when you do that and very very frail. I never have any luck with the anti DG type spells for some reason.

I'd go shield first honestly. Only reason to get spikes is to nuke armor and improve your creeping ability. You can manage the first couple waves that it takes to reach level two using the AoE auto-attack bonus from closed form. If you go spikes and run into another DG at level 1, you're going to take a lot of damage and maybe have to back off. Level 2 may hit a little faster if you get the spikes first, but it's not going to be all that much faster and isn't worth the extra

For my fellow posters who are not morons, I apologize for the content of this post, normally I'd go into more detail and try to maintain some semblence of politeness, but I decided for this post that I would reply with the same level of intelligence as the topic starter. I hope that by doing this, he will understand me better. And now, without any further delay: l2p n00b kthxbai.

I've never trusted leaderboard based arguments. I still don't. The only information you get is what is winning and the information you need is why. The reason the game appears balanced is all the DGs have a BS move that's equally powerful in team games. This is of course a good thing(it means not only do we have balance, but we also have diversity). The balance in terms of skill line choice for DGs leaves a lot to be desired though. The item shop balance is

That's ridiculous tri. If I see a sliver on a health bar, that should mean prime target to finish off, regardless of whether he's almost back to his tower line. Instead it means the dg is probably around half health and he can just turn around and kill you at his tower line instead of you taking the rest out in 1-2 hits. That may be acceptable in a large scale rts where everything is expendable, but in a game like demigod it is just bad design and looks like an overlooked bu

A number of RTS games have the option to send your teammates resources(there's usually a penalty associated with this). Obviously it can be done with buy an item, drop it, teammate picks it up and sells it for 80% of the cost. However, this is a team game so it should include mechanics that reward working as a team(and sharing resources is obviously one of these mechanics). An easy way to implement a gold sharing mechanic is to have a team piggy bank a

Well honestly, spit just shouldn't effect buildings. A disable on buildings under uproot would be nice, but the main problem is that there are more points in the line than you can reasonably invest in it.

I've noticed a lot of problem with the waiting thing too. I reverted after trying and failing to get a game for nearly 3 hours. The connections go super fast when it works. I'm hoping that's just an issue with the people in beta already being those who have trouble connecting.

ctrl + increases font size in most forums. If you have a migraine, staring at your comp is probably a bad idea. From what I've heard, bright lights make them worse.

http://www.freewebs.com/doggiedoodle/creaturepowerchecker.htm This is a java applet that I made a few years back for a Relic game called Impossible Creatures. Each point of defense in the game corresponded to a percent of damage reduction. Damage was in damage per second. It doesn't take health regen into account(you'd have to treat this as a reduction in damage in the alternative setup), but you could use it to compare your two set ups. The big

Learning to play is quite easy. You go around and tell everyone who whines about balance to l2p. They will then recognize your awesomeness and be afraid to fight you in the game. This leads to your control of the flags which leads to your warscore going through the roof which leads to giants which leads to their citadel dying a painful death to oversized goblins with tree sized clubs.

This is presently a 5 point line with the final point being available at level 15 and not at all worth the investment. I just used it in a match, all important towers were gone shortly after I hit level 10. If the game had lasted until I was level 15, there'd be nothing left to use uproot on except the citadel and even if there were important towers left, 100 dps(I'm assuming it applies the 100 damage on a per second basis) to surrounding units on a level 15 skill is completely la

China's been moving away from socialism more and more koda. One thing that bothers me about capitalism is that there are several hugely important institutions that provide worse service when it's applied to them. Look at insurance companies as an example. In order for them to maximize profit, they reject as many claims as possible. Providing a quality service is actually antithetical to making a profit for them. Much of their infrastructure gets
