Am I the only one that has noticed that sometimes the potions have a red glow? I've never actually noticed if this means they are poisoned ones or just super special later game ones.

This is especially annoying when games are rare at the moment and retail isnt even out in Australia so getting games is really hard, having people kick you because your ping is too high when the game runs fine regardless is a bit annoying :(
This would be bad enough if it was centralised and part of helping the moderators distribute ingame karma or whatever fFrogboy mentioned earlier, but it seems a third party site dedicated to such things will just turn into mud slinging at people for no real raeson. Sure in the happy go perfect world this might be useful to a degree, but this is the internet with anonyminity. Not to mention what use is such a site, who is going to alt tab to the banlist in every custom game they play and then
I have no problem with nerfing bite, except for the fact he's been singled out and is the only Demigod that has been nerfed. How about a complete balance change, not just a twitch reaction to complaints. I'm pretty sure there are a few million tweaks that could be done to balance, why single out this ONE move?
You'll find that everything stacks in this game. Some things have a cap, but everything stacks to some degree.
I can't wait till all the connection issues are fixed and such, but at least we have a lobby to complain in while we wait for people to join. My biggest issues at the moment are everyone being called ImpulsePlayer, it makes it impossible to tell whats going on in chat when its all ImpulsePlayer, ImpulsePlayer1, etc. Also It seems if I sit in a lobby too long the pings turn yellow and I need to quit and rejoin to make them green so we can start the game. Not sure if thats a NAT issue o
It's true, the 70% and 1050 Mana is great for when you are getting epic mana/regen up, you can get erebus over 100mana per second with 5 of the helments, it allows you to basically mist forever to hold off creeps forever. It may not be an efficent or your prefered strategy for him, but the vinling helmet is indeed useful in some play styles.
I kinda like text chat, it means if I'm getting annoyed, I can type in a passive manner rather than starting a fight with a team. If I was on team chat, I'd probably just be like "OMG WHY DID YOU DO THAT YOU USELESS SACK OF ****" and that wouldn't be very nice :(
Seems to be a lot of issues, such as Favor Points in the billions. Also everyone seems to get named "ImpulsePlayer" or a numbered variant of it.

Some people, me included, have been able to play close to zero multiplayer games in Demigod.. Seeing as this is mainly a multiplayer game this somehwat blows. My guess is that you don't have any of these troubles and that you are so far up stardocks and GPG
Just tried playing another 3v3. Bout 8 mins in everyone got replaced by AI. Also, once in the lobby having troubles getting everyone to turn green, along with coninued problems with the connection information box not matching the actual game. People that have left the lobby continue to try and be connected to etc, and sometimes people in the lobby don't even appear on my connection info box. Also, favor doesn't seem to be deducted when you buy things, and you lose the items yo
Just had a 3v3 was great. Thing I noticed is it lets you start the match before everyone is connected properly which causes all kinds of issues once the game starts with people dropping.
Joining lobby is infinitely faster, connecting to people seems infinitely faster also, overall the update seems brilliant. One thing I ran into was I was sitting in a lobby, my connection info screen was showing people that had left the game, while not showing people that were also in the lobby. I tried to leave and rejoin but the game was full so I don't know if that would have fixed it. Might have been a once off thing, but figured I'd mention it regardless.
My math is fine, I just tested this myself, and you get the 50% reduction as expected. 15 Second Cooldown says 7 second but takes 8 (because the cooldowns round 7.5 up, while tooltips round down), 14 sec becomes 7 sec cooldown, 7 sec becomes 4 sec cooldown. Not sure where you got your numbers from, but my version they work out as expected. Least we all learned there is a cap at 60% in the process. Everything stacks as expected, I get 50% reductions, no idea why your numbers are off, m
Just looked it up, there is indeed a cap however it appears to be at 60% Reduction. Found in \lua\sim\BuffAffects.lua: function Cooldown( unit, buffName ) local val = BuffCalculate(unit, buffName, 'Cooldown', 1) if val val = 0.4 end unit.Sync.CooldownMod = val end While immediately it may seem like a 40
There are very few items in the game that increase Evasion, but that is capped at 30%, so capping cooldown isn't completely unlikely. What if they add more cooldown items later, they don't want it to be possible to get items for 0 cool down. 40% sounds like a fair cap if it exists.
Idols are considered Minions as well as summoned minions. Allies are basically everything on your team, You, Demigods (and even minions and idols I'm fairly sure) Army is your army, so I'm fairly sure it includes you and your minions (including idols). Minion buffs and such arent very transparent so I don't know for sure, I'll have to look into it. Or you could :)
Hey Frogboy, thanks for the update. Hope you can also fix the "stuck at map loading screen" bug that came with the latest beta (.108). Very infuriating Does it happen in single player too?
I've had it happen on a custom game just earlier this evening. Everything connects and goes well, then you get the loading screen before the match starts, and it just sits there forever. Shift+tab and such resp
With favor so screwed at the moment, turning them off levels the playing field since its unfair for people that can't get/keep their favor.
Life steal and (perhaps) criticals don't stack, it randomly selects one or the other to use. For example, having an 8% and 12% life steal items will result in you stealing either 8 OR 12, not 20 (assuming health of 100). I've never seen a critical stack either, though the percentage chance as opposed to the persistence of life steal means its harder to verify.
Go into a game against an Ai with Filthy rich, buy an
I am working on something similar that ties into Items as well as letting you calculate stats and such. It's not coming together as quickly as I'd like but it's still rather useful in its current state. You can check it out at http://www.demigoddb.com
I tend to agree with no online or at least a single player. I mean you shouldnt just hop straight online with this game, you'll just end up annoying other players, even new paying players because you cant learn the controls and items and such offline, and instead you just run around getting slammed online immediately. I think giving online means it needs to be restricted to incentivise buying the game, but stripping out components while versing paying customers only makes gameplay lop sided a
Read my reply in http://forums.demigodthegame.com/349718 , a simple search for "stack" would have found that thread.
Everything stacks. A few things are capped, like attack speed, but the exactly values I am not 100% on, nothing is totally confirmed because the caps are generally rather impossible to hit and are unlikely to ever happen in a normal game. Everything Demigod that is a % is added together then multiplied by the base value. So 20% weapon damage + 25% attack damage +50 weapon damage, plus 100 normal weapon damage gives you: (50 + 100) * (1 + 0.25 + 0.2) Weapon Damage. I
Fanboy of the year? I never had this kind of problems with Wow or any other Blizzard game. I'm not going to give Stardock any break, these connection issues are known from the beta stages, check the forums. The fact that they had 3 betas doesn't mean jack if the game still can't be enjoyed. Oh sure, they've done a great job of blaming this and that and talking on the forums, but guess what, that doesn't change the fact that you
