How about adding a warning when choosing your side, then?

Truly, there are some areas the minions refuse to go to, so you have to solo the towers. This is generally in the direction of reinforcement portals, which makes sense, but it would be nice to be able to give them an objective (not give them orders as in a RTS, just tell them - help me capture this portal)
I would imagine it's both. I spent a fairly long time trying to sneak packets around filters and could never figure out a way to do it. Now, I'm not ALL that network savvy, but nothing I tried would work. I attempted once to mask the outbound signals as something else (SOCKS) through a proxy and then decode them when I got them back. I never could get it to work, but my Uni has successfully killed all BT and P2P traf
Demigod is not a FPS: 200-300ms of latency is perfectly fine. It works great for DotA, why would Demigod need P2P? This kind of latency doesn't make it or break it. P2P connections are a great idea on paper, but let's face it... in practice it doesn't work, so drop it.
According to http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/player/20791 I have earned 490 favor, spent 0 and have 135. According to the search - http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/search/player/comanoodle - I've only earned 355 favor.
Why did they not make this a base feature? It seems something obvious to have...
I thought so too.. for me, they are separate.
It seems that when you use a favor item that you "bought" earlier still subtracts its cost from your current favor points. So you can even go into the negative quite easily.
The thing is I haven't bought anything. I got 220 favor in my first game, and haven't lost any games until now. (I dropped to 175 favor before losing this last game)
Yes. I'm talking about my online favor, btw :x
now idk if u are trying to imply its cause the beta testers that the mp isnt working as intended but be advised MP was working just fine for us in the beta, it was problems with people connecting to other people via P2P, and problem with router and firewalls.
Exactly. They didn't implement the actual internet matchmaking until it was too late... they should have started with that, and then moved on. Beta testers used Hamach
I don't see what's wrong with a host/client system... it works just fine for DotA. This is not a FPS - 200-300ms of lag is perfectly fine.

Another crash. This time I tried to join a Custom Game. Kinda regretting this now, considering all the problems. I hope they get it sorted out soon.
On my third attempt, I finally got something like this - but the two middle people aren't connected to enhancedmule, and it seemed to have given up on trying. We sat like this for about 2 minutes before people started leaving. I think initially they were connected to him but for some reason they were disconnected. Also, my game crashed when I went back to it from alt tabbing (gray screen, alt tabbing again shows the Fatal Error window). This time I couldn't get to the error window, an
It crashed again. It seems that when this window opens, if your cursor is around the middle of the screen, it will change for a split second. These are all questions I just asked myself as I was attempting to play a Pantheon game. The connection info window stopped updating, and the game seemed to hang. The mouse was still moving, of course. Now, the problem is, since the game hangs whenever it does something network related, it's impossible to tell whether it had an "Unhandled Exception" error, and this window never minimizes your game, so there is no way to know without alt tabbing... but alt tabbing seems to also be one
Seen this as well a few times. IIRC it also happened to a gold mine (not a flag).
zomg it's Gir! Yeah, stupid post. Read the Day 0 update thread...
I still seem to be massacring people, but in the few games I played, it seems that I was playing against people who are playing their first game, since even late game, they didn't have much HP. Their HP was low enough that with the shatter combo I could get their HP down to 500 or so, and from that point it's just a little chasing to kill them.
Make everything asynchronous. The game sometimes hangs when it does something network related (can't think of an example off the top of my head)... if only you had a progress window and the clouds in the background kept moving, it would be much more manageable :P
They either block ports, or they look at the headers. Headers are a no-issue (since it's different from BT's), but for some reason Stardock chose to use port ranges which include the BitTorrent port ranges.
It seems that you get this message when the connection times out.
My university blocks torrents and peer-to-peer, so I can't pirate-to-try. Well, since Demigod involves P2P connexion between all players, you really need the demo to see if you can do some multiplayer.
People need to understand that P2P in gaming and torrenting is not the same thing. As far as the ISP is concerned, the ingame P2P is you connecting to several web servers.
I have previously played NUMEROUS online games (mmorpgs, mostly)
Like the main thread about this explains, you were playing host/client games.
