Try upgrading your creeps armor. Mist is just a fluff skill. It will not kill upgraded creeps by itself. At best it is an evasion skill that is useful for dodging a killing blow or shrugging off a spit, at worst it's a slow creep killer. Yes, "perma" mist is atainable, and very easily, however, your argument that Erebus can simply bite more to make up for lack of health and armor is a bit naive. Furthermore, insinuating that mist may or

There's nothing theoretical about this. Furthermore, the mana regen rates I'm talking about are easy to reproduce and demonstrate. Again, there's nothing subjective or theoretical about it. There's just nothing to debate on whether permanent mist is possible or not or whether it's too prohibitively expe
Capitalism in the U.S. needs 2 things: 1.) better and stronger regulation. 2.) raise the highest marginal tax rate to about 45% to 50%. If we did those two things we'd solve a lot of our problems and pay off our national debt. Universal Single Payer Health care or Universal Health Coverage (hybrid of private and public) is not Socialism. However, a higher and more apropriate top marginal tax rate would easily pay for it as well as make our country more competit
well you make a very good point. but the odds of one guy actually having enough money and buying that stuff and being lvl 20 are like .1% per game. the easiest way would be to cut mana regen in mist, or even just to cut the total mana regen rate. This is another one for the "game balance" and "game design" department and it is in regards to the skill mist. First off, it's a very interesting skill. I like it. I don't want it nerfed or anything like that unless absolutely necessary. However, I encountered the use of it in a game last night on the map Exile that was nearly gamebreaking. First the scenario: It was a 4v4 on exile. It was a 46 minute long match (give or take) that was fairly tight up until the last 5

Would you be generous enough to grant us, obtuse minds, an elaborate explanation of your dogmatic edict ?Well there are only two options available when you resign: either your own team will be one Demigod short, or your team will receive an inferior AI player. None of which is desirable. And the whole enemy team suddenly quitt

Love the game, have since launch. Like I said in the title, I can understand the unforseen networking issues. Perhaps a big open MP beta should have been done first but I don't mind the chance to play to test. I would have bought the game either way. However, what I don't get is the lack of the option to "resign" from a game and a reasonable set of consequences that follow a resignation. For instance in WC3, you can resign and then see the scoreboard at that time of your leaving and s

I've got to say I love this logic circuit as it is what I always here when someone's beloved class gets nerfed. Basically the inference is this: 1.) For some "mysterious" reason people complain about class "such and such" being overpowered for unsubstantiated reason (cry more noobz) 2.) This cacophany of the P

Nice post CKorth, I agree that I'm not calling for a straight Bite nerf. Perhaps mist is the angle to go. There just needs to be something where you can put the nail in his coffin. Every other hero has this.
Better yet, let that DG remain in game and just allow the remaining team members control him, just like in WC3FT.
It's already fixed in the beta and thus will be in the release. If I'm running away and then cast Penitance back at him on the run, my hero just stops and does nothing.
You should really try to play him yourself to get a better understanding of his weaknesses. Because you will die with him, no matter how good you think he is. There are equally skilled oaks, rooks and sednas out there by the boatload right now, just waiting to feast on some Erebus bones!
This is something I'm considering doing. Perhaps tonight. I'm sure I will go thru a few bad games learning the character and so I'll just have to see if I can employ w
As you wish, his weakness is his low dmg output, he doesnt have any real damage dealers, bite is his only burst dmg skill and it does so-so dmg, and can only damage units, not buildings. He is crap against all buildings, and will loose to DGS that can outburst his mdg.. He has great survivability, sure, and this is his strength(not as great as sedna, but close), as well as his varied and versatile moveset.
And for those suggesting it, no, 4chandom is not something for any community to aspire to.
Just don't be surprised when the comm
I hate to complain and whine but I've got this nagging feeling there's something not right with Erebus. As a disclaimer, I will state that I've played Rook, then Regulus, then Oak almost exclusively and my perspective is biased from the view of using those three heroes. However, I'm also taking into account various team-mates using various DG's vs. Erebus. I don't play Erebus and I don't wish to (although I may start just to learn how he works). As an archetype, he just doesn't appeal
There seems to be a bug on 0.0113 beta where I cannot cast penitance on my opponent correctly. This is a reproducible bug that occurs when I am "running away" from my opponent. Scenario: It occurs when I am engaged with my opponent and things are not going my way so I decide to retreat toward my towers/heal crystal. As I'm running my opponent gives chase because I'm not in a favorable health status and my shield is on cooldown. The bug occurs as I try to "cast Penitance" on my pursuer
You are aware that Erebus lacks the ability to actually win any games, as he can't really kill a citadel(weak attacks, and squishy nature, as well as having no skills to actually hurt it with, mean that his anti-citadel abilities are pitiful at best). Erebus needs allies if he wants to win. Sure, he's probably overpowered if you look solely at anti-demigod combat, but that's not what it's about. Erebus doesn't win games, h
That is pretty smart of them, and I can see how that method would easily work. However, it gives great advantage to those that can "sit in the room together". I guess you could do that on ventrilo too. People will always find ways to work a system.
Erebus: my sense that he is either vastly overpowered for all the reasons you state or there is some as of yet undiscovered counter to him (that apparenlty no one knows). In short, he is cheese and throws the game way off. Unclean Beast: I think spit is too strong early on especially and into the midgame. 2 spits early on will force any DG that doesn't have healing away from the battleground back to the crystal. It shouldn't be that way. Rook: Sometimes tower spamming is annoy
