Second game multiplayer was better. Played w/ 2 other people 3 vs nightmare ai. No hiccups or disconnects. No lag, halts or stutters. Nightmare AI is still pretty weak. AI heroes just get themselves killed to easily, especially by chasing to far into towers.

1.) For starters - When I first downloaded the update I wasn't sure if was beta or not. I'm still not sure. Maybe make that more clear. 2.) After the update I couldn't get the game to launch but someone told me to delete the game.prefs file and I did. So now I can launch the game and get it to work. I played single and multiplayer after the patch. 3.) I was able to connect to some folks from the USA to a "nordic 3v3" game. Pings were in the green around 180 to 200 ms. The game

1.) I have the "see pre-release versions" set to allow in the impulse menu. 2.) This morning I woke and saw an "update" to Demigod available in the Impulse Reactor menu. 3.) It didn't say it was a beta or anything. 4.) I downloaded it... 5.) So, as I did that I noticed in the bottom left corner of Impulse menu that my Demigod was now listed as Demigod v1.00[b] 6.) I started the game and got to the "single player skirmish" screen and noted that the in ga
It is extremely powerful and meant to be so. Cataract is the map where I see this the most. However, you can easily counter it by getting the portals back and locking them for one thing. The other thing you can do is do the same thing to them. At some point, the game has to end. Without giants and catapults it would drag on too long. The problem is when your team mates just don't understand the importance of this and ignore portal control. If you are one guy trying to secure 2
Do you mean kill her 1 on 1? or win the game 1 on 1? I know that she is tough to beat when she is buffed for self healing to the max. But that also means she has a soft bite so your survivability goes up as well. I'd rely on this fact and then work the metagame to secure your objectives in ways other than just "hero kills". Strategic takedowns of buildings and key timely city upgrades come to mind. After all it's a map control game. I've been on the winning and losing side of
I've been having this very problem. The trouble is that ALL of the Dark Demigods (except maybe the Queen) have easy instant significant damage. Fireball, Bite, Spit. Regulus's Snipe simply doesn't measure up, and the Rook has no such skill (That can actually hit people), nor does Sedna (Pounce never, EVER, EVER actually hits the enemy). It's simply a question of the Light side has no damage, and even in groups this doesn't change. Dark, on the other
Speed, stamina, and heart of life, and + damage/life drain items -- go angel/stats as opposed to mines or snipe and get maim/range as well. Get the speed wand and any speed upgrades. Be very wary to ever let him come close to you until you have high enough stamina that you outscale his spit. If he spits on you, hit wand and run. If you've stacked the items right you will have enough stamina to outlast teh spit. When the spit has warn off pop your heart of life for a quick re
I just came across this tonight. It's an interesting article which touches upon a lot of the points that we've been discussing in this forum. I take it as supportive of Stardock's stance of this issue. However, it is a huge problem and there's some discussion about adopting an "industry wide" best practices approach. It's just too bad people aren't willing to pay for the development of the games we all love. It's a lot of work to make games and it takes talent and education to

We have your back, Brad. Thanks for the honesty and yes, many of us with kids understand exactly how you feel. Keep up the hard work, it will pay off. You live and you learn. As long as the bills are being paid, it's all good.
My first thoughts are to try to balance out what the game lacks in terms of heroes and right now it seems there's a lack of ranged heroes. There's only 3, Reg/TB/QoT while the other 5 are melee. There's also no hero that is focused on debuffing and that would be an interesting type of gameplay. Well I got to go back to work...more feedback later.

Basically the game was wildly more popular than they ever dreamed or prepared for. Are you saying that's the case with Demigod? I hope so. I want nothing but the best for th
Blizzard actually doesn't use any copy protection on their games, except for needing the legit version to play online. Sound familiar?
First off, Blizzard had implemented physical "CD in the drive" checks but that is gone now. However, that was a form of anti-piracy and copy protection. Whether it worked or not, I don't know. They've removed it. What Blizzard has done though is make it's online servi

But at some point there's going to be a game company that offers an RTS with ongoing service above what you have seen so far in RTS games and will charge a subscription fee of some sort. It's going to be a gold mine.

I dont know what the OP is talking about but here are the things that would have sold more copy. 1)Multiplayer actually working as intended at release. 2)No lan feature at release perhaps a few months later. 3)Game being feature complete with clans , community tools , pantheon working ,etc.
I'd like to respond to several issues about the launch of Demigod. First things first, I absolutely love the game. It's a chess match and brilliantly designed from a gameplay standpoint. It's "my game" now until I get to see how Starcraft 2 actually plays. It's also the first game that has pulled me away from WoW and my 4+ years playing Warcraft 3. It's that good. However, I have some issues I'd like to aim at Stardock because I love them but I think they need to hear
I play Reg a lot and I agree. I never get that spell because procs like that rarely occur when they would be useful.
In regards to the above discussion, I recently switched from a skills based approach to a stats based approach to Regulus and found much more success with the latter. At this point, maybe I'm just better at the game but I suspect what's going on is that a stats based approach tends to scale better in terms of DPS over that of a skills based approach. Also, a stats based approach is less dependent on coordination with other teammates. Snipe and grenades work best when coordinated and b
I play QoT alot and I have no hassle with how she plays, actually I find her playstyle very interesting and enjoyable. However I have noticed that if you play Multiplayer and get to end game levels her Bramble shield becomes quite useless against well played DGs. 4 normal hits from an assassin specced Oak and it is down let alone Reg or UB and while I know alot of players hate bramble shield it is the only thing that really keeps a QoT up, hence why you will

You bought the wrong game if you wanted to go online and play with other people by yourself. Competitive strategy games are not and never will be about people just thrown together and told to go. I'm not sure how you can even support a ladder with random teams. There cannot be any support for it other than just that. The whole point of a ladder is the ladder season which theoretically
