With the game's current control scheme of clicking where you want to go I can't only imagine playing with a gamepad to be rageinducingly terrible. Maybe with some rework it could be acceptable (but still worse than mouse/kb), left analog for movement, right analog for view etc. But we actually use quite a lot of buttons while we play. 1,2,3,4 Skills. F1,F2,F3,F4 Consumables. M,N,H,I,8,9,0 for hero/minion selection. 5,6,7 for minion summoning. Left/right

Yes yes, I said retarded. Is it really necessary to call people immature over using a widely used slang for 'your idea is dumb and by extension I will call you dumb as well. Congratulations'. Ps. Your idea was really dumb. There is a substantial difference between someone leaving and (lets call the effect worsening the game), where you can decide between continuing the fight (this happens quite alot. especially in 4v4 and more), leaving yourself, or deciding to remake the game o

That you might need to open ports (and which) is clearly stated in the manual (not 6073 for some reason). Yes Demigod requires a bit more than 'monkey mash button to play!', but come on. It's not rocketsurgery. If you want to be able to play games online with your routers and firewalls etc you need to be able to configure them to let the traffic through. It requires no more than you would need to host any other game. If you can't wrap your mind around the concept of ports, buy an XBox and sto

Yeah getting games going is kinda annoying atm. This is (mostly) due to idiots (sorry) not opening port 6073 + 6100-6200 (i know, 20 port range). You should do that. Then play custom games.

http://www.demigodthegame.com/purchase/ $40(usd) Digital Download. What are you waiting for? My game dir is less than 3 gb, I'm sure you can survive that even with the draconican quotas in Australia. Pst! If you have the pirated version, you don't even have to download it, now you just have a key and is magically able to update it and play online. What? Game is worthless single player anyway, get off my back.

Someone had an unstable connection or a firewall checking each packet, causing freezes. The game itself runs fine. The problem is..people don't know shit about their computers usually.

Army of Night, Bloody Haze and Vampiric Aura? Vampiric Aura is pretty useless in Mist form no? You need Mist (III will do, but IV is best, naturally) Improved Conversion Aura III Coven III So with Mist IV, you'll be lvl 10 all stacked out for the Mist/minion combo. And Bloody Haze is not really needed in my opinion, but sure. Can't get it until 15 anyway. Same with Army of the Night. Though they're quite ok, you'll make a new nightwalker 80% of the time you kil

You should be able to quit yourself when the timeout box is up. When some people have crashed or ragequit, we sometimes decide to remake the game. Currently you have to wait 30 sec for each person to quit, and let me tell you, the 'quitting queue' is massively annoying to be in. Secondly. When someone quits, I see no reason why this can't make the client send a "Bye guys, I just quit" message to the rest of the clients in the game instead of assuming a disconnect and waiting 30 secs.

[quote who="ZehDon" reply="9" id="2211050"][sarcasm] The only solution to this problem is to remove the gameplay entirely and have the outcome of matches decided by a behind-the-scenes equation based on which Demigods the teams have in play. After clicking the Launch Game button, your informed that you've either lost or won. If it ends in a tie, the winner is decided by a random number generator. This is the only fair way as it's obvious it's impossible to beat UB or Reg and you sh

There will never be an actual map editor, you will have to make the maps in a 3d app like 3DStudio or Maya. But if that was the whole problem, we'd have tons of maps already. The problem is that noone has the tools for placing buildings, flags, portals, designating walkable areas, creep paths etc. They could release them I'm sure, but i think there is a licensing issue with a component (can't remember the details) they use that prevents them from releasing the tools. I believe it was called G

Sorry Frogboy, I don't like your idea. I think this will just lead to a bad tendency where fewer games will be played to completion, and forfitting long before the game would normally be finished will be consider the new norm. I do not want to play a game where win/lose theorycrafting replaces the endgame of every match. Selfish, impatient people (that ragequitters are) need to be dissuaded from leaving a game in progress. Punish them, take favor away, implement a 'quit game in progre

Yeti rank 4 1710hp 30.6dps (max 4 for 4 skillpoints, cleave ability for 1 additional skillpoint) . Shambler rank 4 1425hp 30.0dps 2.5 aoe radius, ranged (max 4 for 4 skillpoints, can be buffed further by Compost, 1-3 additional skillpoints) . Yeah i actually agree that the Shamblers are better, now that I have the stats in front of me For referen

From here you will see that DGs natural mana regen is quite low, ranging from between 2.4MP/s and 3.6MP/s depending on which demigod you play at lvl 1 till between 7.7 and 9.5 (TB is exceptional at 12.4MP/s) at lvl 20. So, [Natural regen for your level] + [Increased MP/s from items] * 1+[Increased mana regen % from items/100] = [Total MP/s]

[quote who="Verity_" reply="6" id="2210212"]You don't quit the game simply because you will ruin it for everyone else. Imagine someone doing this in a real life sports game. Just stepping off the field leaving the team one man short because he thought that the enemy was too good. Any person doing this IRL is an asshole and the same goes for online play. Just stay in the game and watch and learn, no demigod is that overpowered. [/quote][quote who="Sevenix"

NEWB, all that is fine, but you would learn none of it from a tutorial. Tutorials are made to learn the basics.

The yetis are actually the best minions statwise, on a 1 for 1 basis. Shamblers can be considered better depending on how much you value range. You can have many more nightwalkers though as erebus, but his whole minion line costs 7 or 9 skillpoints (i forget). Oak gets 10 out of his 4 skillpoints, but they are the weakest of all the minions, and stray into the range of towers all the time. I think many of you underestimate the effect of pressing N and focus firing on an enemy demigod.

Do what the other posters suggested, read the manual and play a few single player games. Hell, just play a few games and explore. The game is not difficult enough to be worth the resources it takes to make a tutorial in my opinion. You won't learn all the secrets by playing a few games, but tutorials are for teaching you the basics in any case. Once you have gotten familiar with the basics, find a guide that goes into more detail and read that. Or just keep playing.
