Considering every player can get one how is it OP? it's not like it's an exclusive item. If all players have HoL then it's even... if they don't then someone doesn't knwo what they are doing and will lose anyhow.
This is a bad line of logic. Pretend we were talking about a nuclear bomb instead of HoL. Every player is given equal access to the nuke at their item shop. The nuke kills every player on the opposing team. It's undercosted for the effec

I'd like to call out that this isn't inexpensive. Journeyman's Treads is one of the most expensive purchases at the item shop and Cloak of Elfinkind is an artifact. You need to sacrifice a ton of health gear to save up all the gold. I have a friend who plays this build and he sucks ass until roughly level 15. At that point, he can choose exactly where he wants to be in a moment's notice. Not a build I recommend except for the late game jollies.
So the only "nerf" you want for last stand is to allow Oak to deal 1500 (300% damage on top of 500 with spirits) damage at 300% attack speed and move at 3 times speed on all demigods who helped kill him? That's ****ing ridiculous. You wouldn't take the enemy demigods 90% of the time; killing oak would be a bad idea 100% of the time because he would get a kill on everybody who assissted him.
Yea - that's about right. The only way I'd want to take a skill which requ
Last Stand is not fine, it's ridiculous. The movement and attack speed is insane, especially for a weapon damage Oak. Thing is, I'm happy with the principle of Last Stand, it's just bejeezus too much. I say that the effect should be instant with move buffs, but there's no need for him to get increassed attack buffs. I've seen Last Stand kill weaker DGs from full. Last Stand should be useful for when the enemy DG survived on less than about 1000 HP. There's no need for it to be more tha
I find it disheartening that the only reason to upgrade towers then is for the cheaper mana cost and (maybe) a bit stronger tower - and to scare people off It would be better to spread the towers out, then, so they dont chain.
You also upgrade so you can drop more towers at 1 time. I'd recommend keeping your towers as tight as possible, unless you're fighting a mad AoE DG like TB. Keeping them tight allows all of your towers to attack a DG one at a time.</
Storing your passwords locally without a master-password to protect them is never secure. For example in Firefox or IE, when you let them store your login data, those infos can easily be retrieved again by potential malware. So "encrypting" that stuff really only gives you a false sense of security.
It's always a false sense of security, isn't it? I mean, the Department of Defense invests millions in securing its systems and they still get hacked. Any comput
so if you have the two things (Post Mortem and Ooze) going at the same time the effect is much faster than just one of them individually.
True - creeps will die faster but that extra speed doesn't provide any benefit until giants. Killing a wave in 3 seconds vs 5 seconds only gains me a little bit of extra health. Don't get any extra XP, don't get any extra gold.

If you go to My Documents --> My Games --> Demigod, there's a file called games.pref. In that file, it stores your Impulse password unencrypted. If your system is hacked or if you share your computer with inquisitive people, this is a serious security breach. Demigod should hash that password before storing it, at the very least.
Imho either: - Increase the cooldown to at least 60 sec. - Lower the speed of the regen massively, so you actually have to stay out of combat longer than just a few sec. - Remove the item.
I'd like either 1 or 2. THANKS!

IF Last Stand needs a nerf (and I'm not convinced it does), it should be modified to only do damage to the DGs who killed/assissted Oak. And that damage should be buffed by a ungodly amount - 200%!!!! Currently, I'd never take Last Stand except perhaps to take advantage of this thread. But if I knew I was going to take down a bad guy with me 90% of the time, I'd take it.
My basic point is that effective HP is a bunch of useless theory-math for edge cases with a huge standard deviation in real play
I agree - it is an edge case discussion. Maxing out effective HP should rarely be your primary avenue to survivability. Maxing out actual HP, speed, spells like Heal and items like HoL is the primary avenue to survivability. However - just because effective HP is only of secondary (or tertiary) importance does not mean that
almost every demigod is over the top in some aspect. regulus happens to be a pretty frail demigod at least. tower rooks are over the top, sedna healing is over the top, spitting ub are over the top, ect. you just have to adjust strategies to what your opponents bring to game.
I'm not really concerned about Reggie being over the top. I'm concerned about Reggie being boring to play against. I can play against Rook and AoE his to
That's just like having to run from a UB early because of his poison spit. Or not relying on creep upgrades vs. a Fire TB. Regulus has a skill that you actually have to adjust to. Not everything is going to work against every DG. They all need strengths and weaknesses, and Regulus has very obvious weaknesses. Regulus' Snipe, like many other abilities is simply something you have to adjust your strategy for. Nothing really imbalanced here, just a need to adjust playstyle
Right, but let's be realistic: any Regulus who does this is going to lose. An effective Regulus player will need to use his bow, at minimum, and likely his other skills as well.
Agreed. The type of Reggie I'm talking about is one who is out creep farming but always waits for creeps to come to him, never comes out from his tower. He's still killing creeps but he isn't pushing and he isn't engaging enemy DGs. He's getting good gold still because, when hi
Any regulus who sits in the back of his base sniping all game is going to cost his team a lot. He's not leveling, and probably not getting kills.
I think he could level and get OK gold. Reggie stays near his tower and kills creeps that approach. He buys mana items until snipe won't drain his pool. He never chases the enemy and he uses his snipe as soon as it refreshes. He levels from creeps and the occasional DG kill. Won't level as fast as
Armor does not actually reduce in effect the more you have. Plot armor against health/(1-mitigation) and you'll see.
I've heard this comment before but didn't understand it. Where do you get the health number? Is that your total health? I'm assuming the table would look like this but it doesn't make sense to me: Armor | Health 100 | 1500 200 | 1500 300 | 1500 ... | ...

I'm discussing whether Reggie is fun to play against If you choose to reply to this thread, please answer this question to ensure we stay on topic: Do you enjoy playing against a Reggie who relies almost exclusively on Snipe/Mines and never engages in direct combat (Shy Reggie)? ---------- I love the idea of Reggie's snipe.
Base DPS with +30 = 190 / .69 = 275.36 (rounded)
It's not 190 / .69. Should be 190 X .69. .69 means that I attack .69 times every second, 7 times evey 10 seconds. Regarding factoring in criticals, 1 out of every 10 attacks will be a critical hit. A critical hit is 2x damage. 10% proc X 200% multiplier X 190 damage = 38 damage per attack, on average. (190 base damage + 38 crit damage) X .69 attack speed = 157 DPS for Slayer Wraps

I put together a table that shows how much damage mitigation I can get for my gold. I looked at items that increased armor and also items that gave a boost to dodge. They both do the same thing: reduce the amount of damage you take from auto-attacks (towers, creeps, demigod's standard attack). I didn't include activa

I broke down all the items that have a sustained DPS contribution. This includes adjustments to base damage increase, speed increase, critical hits, proc damage burst (like Nature's Reckoning) and proc speed increase (like Unmaker). This does not include activated abilities like Bracelet of Rage's +300 damage. I used

I play Ice TB with the Staff of Teleportation favor item while holding an Observer Orb. When I see an enemy with full health come, I'll teleport to an empty lane. I focus on three things. First, I watch my teammate's lanes. If they're fighting a DG, I'll teleport over and lend my support. Being able to wipe out a wave for them, damage a DG, and slow a DG's attack speed means he gets pushed out of the lane. Second, I farm creeps and push lanes. F

Speaking of wild assumptions, you've got no idea if I suck at the game. The fact that I brought up my troubles and sought out advice should be some indication that I'm not a complete idiot.
