I mentioned in another post that there are too few idealogy points to go around on maps where you limit the number of habitable ones. I have no way of increasing my idealogy as I no longer have any planets to colonize.

So Gunathor the NEW design I created with the nifty mass driver augment using my ONE precious durantium, I can only build ONE SHIP correct? And off it goes and gets promptly destroyed. I still say for amount of work, credits and approval needed to acquire that sole resource the augment is woefully under powered compared to simply researching the next tier of mass drivers. The first augment REDUCES your damage on that ship but you gain a longer range. &nbsp

Thanks Shaef. I spent 7 hours last night on a large map, in tight clusters with uncommon habitable planets. After 270 turns the Drengin and I are in full war moving back n forth. I set ai to GIFT on all 3 avail and they are reacting to my ships almost immediately. We really need a battle report telling us where we are attacking, being attacked. Only one CTD at turn 205. I have not even touched the amazing Altarian empire nor the Iridiums. Both

Also it would be nice to get a warning if enemy ships enter your area of influence. I know this is likely to be in the works but as you are fighting again information is critical to the allocation of combat resources. I also lost a mining starbase and had no idea what it was that was lost/beat or such.

So as I was riding into work this morning..... Lets use Durantium as the resource for this discussion. I have mined ONE Durantium. I have one in my ledger. Now what can I do with it? Why I can use it to for both Offensive and defensive augments of course, right? Which leads me to a question and perhaps others have already figured it out. With one Durantium I design a ship with one defensive augment. Now can I build only ONE of

I know this has been repeated a lot. I just want to clarify. With larger maps and more empire fighting back and forth (espeially with tougher AI), we really need a separate button or page or such that says the following: Who attacked who Where the location was. Either give us a name and coordinates and/or a clicky in the report to snap to location, ideally both. What was the outcome What was the strength and if possible armaments/def

At mid game I was having trouble keeping everyone happy. Also if you are on limited planets for colonization you will not get enough points to get the 2nd tier of Ideology benefits. This means that some buildings exclusive to ideology may never be in reach. Also there must be a way to mitigate population pressure at end game as you will run out of food and happiness bonuses and yet the pop will still increase.

Greetings. Let me say first off great job. The game has of course hooked me and I am still going. Let me start off by describing some settings which I really really love. Large galaxy Tight clusters Habitable planets: Uncommon (this is important because I like islands of stars with void in between the areas.) Stars & asteroids: Common Planets & anomalies: Common Blackholes: Uncommon (There were still too m

Sparhawk, you can put any improvement on any tile. Some tiles have bonuses that increase a specific improvement that you put there. Grain is best to have a farm on it, however you can put a factory if you need the space. I found this morning that if you hover over the icon/tile the information for that tile is in the upper right hand corner (of the planet screen). Grain +2 to food or population improvements. Farms and hospitals are pop

The game does not necessarily need complexity, for replay value. As you stated you played Civ IV over and over, I have also and have moved onto Civ V with mods. The replay-ability there is near endless. Gal Civ currently has complexity. It will continue to get more complex. What I found is really keeping me here is the dialogue I get from different factions on just about anything. I love opening a dialogue and hearing the Drengin say, "My you look delicious!

I thought we were going to scale back on the large planets and have a between class 7 and 12 as the largest or most commonly found? On my first game I have a 24, a 19 and two 18 class. While I love these they seem a bit overpowered but meh whatever. Thanks to Rhonin on pointing out where to find the bonus tile info which is in upper right hand corner of planet screen.
