I can see that it introduces the ability to counter an enemy's strategy, but why do you need to see their items to do this? Can't you just fight them and figure it out?
No, you can't. You don't know how many potions they have, or what their armor is, or how much mana is being added by their items. Or as you point out, their movespeed. This is so so important in Demigod, far more than it was in Dota due to most maps being wide open and the inability t

I hate this too. I spend my time meticulously adjusting it to the right angle and every death it's reset time. I guess it gives you something to do while dead...
Minotaurs and archers should be buffed and their damage and gold greatly increased. Not sure about increasing their hp, it seems very tuned to the damage numbers of several spells right now. There's absolutely no danger running into a mob of these guys alone. That's a mistake, imo.
This is sweet. Next up: Enemy mana and items! Displaying ally gold would be great too.
Honestly? Yes, I am less likely.
Sometimes too much info takes away skill. This is something I don't want my opponent to know, either they walk up and see me place it and know it will be a while or they have to wait. This makes awareness of your portals a skill rather than thinking "oh, I have to wait 32 sec, I'll come back in a bit." If you don't know how long you have to wait that can change the fight based on how they choose to play it. I don't think this is a good uggestion, seems to be inf
Sila protect us! Over there Sila!
actually I think seeing enemy mana and/or items *removes* strategy
How? It adds strategy because you might (just might) be able to buy certain items that actually counter what your opponent is doing. If they're going all damage and no attack speed you could get attack speed reducing items. If they're going all attack speed there's a thorns item or damage debuff items. Yes Demigod doesn't have that many items (yet) and most aren't very good and
This game WOULD NOT benefit from copying everything from a previous game of the same genre. Seeing an opponents gear would change the playstyle and thats not what they wanted
You don't know that.
There are endings? Huh?
About showing enemy items on the screen though...who the heck is asking for this and why? Thats kinda supposed to be a secret.
I don't understand - why? Other games (Dota) do this and it's worked wonderfully for years upon years. In normal Wacraft 3 you can see what items the enemy hero is packing. (So you know if they can TP or have a potion or what have you) It doesn't change balance - things become a bit more strategic and a bit less tactical.&nbs
Yeah let's completely remove battlefield awareness from the game, and have people stare at a bar at the bottom of their screen. That's what good players do.
Yes because people who are staing at bars and not the action (or the minimap) are going to have GREAT battlefield awareness. Thumbs up.
Let's remove communication too, because pressing enter and typing out "no mana" and pressing enter again takes such a loooooooooong time
No, yo
For people who can easily aoe the priests they do give a lot of gold (and exp) to the enemy. Ironically you don't WANT your creeps to barely win the wave on wave fights, because if the enemy demigod isn't near your creeps when they die they don't get exp. As such you don't want waves building when they can't really overwhelm the enemy when they get to the tower. This is why no one really likes getting priests *by themselves*. The more popular strat that I also subs
3. LOTS of anime and movie adaptation into the game - These are the best.
If by best you mean the worst crap ever! Naruto RPG? Final Fantasy Tower defense? Dragon Ball Z arena? Goddamn it, that's not Piccolo - it's just a naga model.
It displays the healthbars on some sort of log scale. So that the demigod may still have 50% health like 2k hitpoints but the little healthbar will show as empty making you think you can kill them with just one more swing. You have to look in the bottom right at the info panel for the DG you have the mouse on to see what their *real* status is. This is very annoying as it tends to get you killed attacking something you think is almost dead but isn't.
O
At least make a way to tell when people have left post game. I talk to the void until I realize everyone's already left.
There is significantly less "line of sighting" in Demigod so I think height is a pointless idea. It's very important in Dota, on the other hand.
Custom games to avoid this.
The ally HP thing would be a lot less of an issue if the green bar over their head wasn't COMPLETE LIES.
There are so many complainers asking for a panel to see your allies health/mana, and your enemies items. THIS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE GAME, THIS WILL MAKE IT EASY MODE.
Dota has both and is anything but "easy mode." It doesn't make anything easier when BOTH SIDES have it.
Reason #1: This will eliminate the already small amount of communication between teammates in this game. I've played some games with my team on Vent,
Games s
What if Currency 2 gave a discount to consumable items and a decrease in gold the other team gets from kills(creeps).
Any of these ideas could work. Personally I think currency 2 and 3 should just do what they say and increase your gold income by 6 and 8 (not 2 and 2) which as I've calculated puts them about equal to currency 1. But all I know is they can't stay the same as they are now, because right now they are crap.
1) It's bad game design. If you punish upon a mistake, it kills the fun. Keep in mind that in most games the mistake itself already leads to severe punishment, concretely for this game you can neither get XP nor gold while dead. Punishment never goes well with fun, conversly rewarding good play helps the fun.
There's already punishment on death. More/different punishment on death isn't going to change the "fun" by appreciable amounts (you can measure this?)
Read the story in the instruction manual.
Nice work. Next up - show items mod.
The rate is just not worth it though. They get bigger incomes, but it's only slightly. The first currency upgrade is 100% gold increase for 1800. (massive!) The second is 25% for 3000. (crap!) You'd probably be better off getting angels right around that point, or waiting to get all the creeps at once (better)
