It's just a matter of perception. If you get double sniped from afar severel times in a match then it stands out in your mind. And if you get gobbed upon by two beasts when your health is in the lower thousands, then you notice with alarm how rapidly your remaining life dwindles. Likewise, getting swarmed by 20 spirits from twin Oaks makes more of an impression on you than any combination of skills.

Updated Current result (#141): Surprisingly this thread got revived and offered nearly 20 new identifyable votes. Like always, the current result required a bit of an interpretation effort on my part: For example, a decent sized expansion gets interpreted as 4 demigods and a full expansion as demigods, however phrased. The dislike of the downloadable-content model persists. Although it's not quite clear to

I always wondered why some Oaks take Shield at level 1. Shield is great later in the game, when burst damage becomes a series problem. But early game shield? Shield 1 lasts 3 seconds and has a cooldown of 35 seconds. QoT's Bramble Shield is great at level 1, as is Sednas Heal. But Oaks shield doesn't seem to noticably increase staying power.

A new QoT guide. It focuses on a Siege/Support playing style, heavily using Uproot. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/359163

made the note and updated the items section a bit.
Yeah, QoT players usually know that Spikes is great against towers. I even mentioned that I consider QoT to have TWO siege skills. And that's the point. She has TWO siege skills, which allow her to take towers down quite fast. Ok, if you see a lonely tower on a desert island then you don't have to strain yourself too much, no matter what skill you prefer, but in places where you are in the field of fire of two or more towers with splash damage you can't always charge in with impunity.
The in-game description of Queen is spot on. She has good AE and Siege. She uses a lot of mana, and her skills are restricted. Average players like to wtfpwn other demigods, so she's not that popular. Use her as intended and she's good. Forcing her into an assassin role is like building an AE build with Sedna using odd items. Waste of time.
What he said. Play her as siege and support. Then she's ....
Updated the original post to include the compost and shambler build variation. Also added some comments.
I think the first compost is the most useful. Every other level only adds 200 damage while the first one adds up to 600. Spikes is useful, too, you know. :) But let us know if that full siege build is worth it.

I wasn't content with accepting my dismal performance with QoT, so I thought I'd give her most useless skill tree (not counting Tribute) a try : Uproot Uproot looks like a really bad deal: It deals as much damage as Rooks Structural Transfer but doesn't give you health. It only works against buildings and has no second use after clearing the map of enemy buildings ... unlike Rooks ST, which is a self made healing potion. And on top of if, it even costs 50% more than Rooks skill!

I was absolutely not interested in calculating "time to live". I'm likewise not interested in playing Demigod in Excel. I linked the chart from somewhere else because it already clearly showed the mitigation-armor relationship. The sheets are a bit truncated so they only show the bonus damage gained by using a selected choice of skills. More would be overkill and not part of the numbers I wished to present: Bonus melee damage due to armor reduction skills. If you consi

Armor reduces damage. Plain and simple. More armor reduces more damage. Now it get's interesting, because the damage reduction is not linear but logarithmic. This means something like this: One axis stands for armor, the other one for damage mitigation in percent. See more details <a href="http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/portals
Aroddo, I think the major thing you are ignoring in your assessment of Bestial Wrath is that it is purely mitigated damage. Thus, a straight comparison with the unmitigated damage of Spit is going to make things look strangely good in favour of Bestial Wrath. Even assuming just 35% reduction, from one decent piece that contributes Armour at a high lvl, turns the 215 DPS increase from Bestial Wrath at lvl 20 into ~ 140 DPS (215*.6
