hey frogboy, do you think we can get the narrator of the intro to say a sentence to a rage quitter. something like "You have fled the battle. The other demigods continue their epic struggle while you abandoned the path to ascension burning with unholy raaaage." with the full gravitas of the excellent speaker.
Eventually they got up 5 levels with godly gear and my team (understandably) rage quit because it was just so stupid.
I totally forgot: Hand that over to your team. :P
I like the proposed concede/rage quite changes. You either learn to lose with dignity or get a rage quit award. or you simply get your team to concede. perfect.

Updated Current result (#70): Despite all the complaints most people are willing to pay 5$ per DG. In most cases you expect to get additional maps and other things, too. Well, so do I. Regarding the release format the light-dark doublepacks are prefered. As well as larger expansion packs. The most significant trend I see from the numbers (and your comments) is that you distrust the "downloadable content" business
not right now. i think that screenie came from when i logged in via http://forums.impulsedriven.com and browsed to the demigod forum to edit that message. not sure anymore.
ah, sorry, got that mixed up. I even think i typed that message while i was asleep. :)
I just found out that the sound bug only happens when you quit a game while dead. the swishing sound of the death screen just never stops.

I'm brilliant! I learned to play without tutorial! We people of the 90's are superior to the younger generation! ;)
i thought the new one was great. And it fell on an uneven number ! only thing that bothers me is that it sets the pace for a different star trek universe that isn't based on gene roddenberrys vision of a civilized and generally peace promoting society anymore. it looks more like bushs america in space ... or like the beginnings of the evil mirror universe of those cheesy original series.

I don't blame you for rushing to the defense of the unfortunate Stardock. They treat their happy customers great, and when someone like me (an unhappy customer) comes along and shines a spotlight on some rough spots, it hurts to hear it, and your dismissal of me as "bitchy and ignorant" is predictable. Rook = Turm Thats actually perfectly accurate. Demigod has several references to chess - we got a queen, king (oculus), bishops, and a knight (oak). QoT has a quote "Queen takes pawn" which is straight from chess. And the Rook figure is called "Turm" in german, so I don't know what you are fussing about in that case.

I mean there is already plenty of good idea in the forums, a lot of stuff they can take from similar game, etc. Beside the art and some balancing, I don't see the cost of adding new DG.
--- other quote --- The company gets big marks for their efforts to communicate with users about the many problems they have. We can see a trend now: A majority rates the worth of a new demigod at 5$ with the average being roughly about 4$ (i'm assuming 8$ for the X$ voters). Most people prefer new demigods to come in pairs but a nearly equally large group prefers a full expansion pack with 4-8 demigods. Most people also expect those demigod packs to include new maps, items, etc., which more or less means that they take new maps for granted. Like before, the current result required a

I dont agree with todays industy of rushing games out the door with less content than games used to have and then charging for it. Personally I'm actually willing to pay the original price of the game again for a fully fledged expansion. But i'd prefer them to release them in smaller packages and keep them coming, so my vote is: 5-2
We get two for free anyway, so the starting roster is 10 demigods. Let's assume for the sake of argument that: all connectivity problems are solved player base is high enough to provide fast matching all major bugs have been taken care of the game is reasonably balanced (which in my opinion it already is) Also, we all enjoy the game.
