Wireless network lag fix. If you are experiencing lag spikes and run a wifi network at home your problem my lie with a local windows service called "Wireless Zero Configuration" and not with your connection to Funcom's server over the internet. This service will ping the access point every 60 seconds so that you always have the best wireless connection. Which is great for general use but ruins online gaming.

Well, as do many people out there, I greatly dislike the idea that Demigod could be made better by becoming a DotA clone. However. *twitch* (Dear All-Father, will I be flamed for this) I think that when a player leaves, rather than leaving an AI behind (clearly a punishment to their team, as the damned thing desperately charges towers for who knows what reason) it may be fairer to remove the person's demi, and refund a portion of their gold, maybe around 50%, to the tea
Those people who argue for quitting forget to add one little detail: that is the team. I'm fine with quitters, if they discuss their decision with their team and follow the will of the majority. So if in a 3v3, 2 out of 3 are convinced they are losing, they should quit. It 2 out of 3 would want to continue the fight, then the third one owes them to stay and fight. Its really that simple. Actually, when i say they should quit, well.. they
Alas, I would were I not unable to play more than 2v2 games. [e digicons]X([/e] But I reckon my awkward timezone wouldn't help either.
I think not knowing what someone has adds a level of strategy to the game. It allows for more bluffing, such as when you are totally oom but at full health. Countering a person requires you to watch them closely to decide their equipment and skill choices. You look just as threatening as anyone else, and can thus keep going in your lane. That being said, it'd be interesting if at least Artifacts showed up on your character, but think about it. How would QoT hold one? And would hers be the sam
I respect the right of those who purchase the game to play the game. That being said, I can't much see how someone with -4 simspeed can enjoy the game. I'd expect that people with miserable computers will soon either upgrade the computer or give up demigod out of frustration.
Probability most likely. There aren't -many- people for whom this takes place, but just enough to screw up every other connection attempt.
Actually, you greatly exagerate, if not flat out make up the statement that a "majority" of the forums are opposed to a banlist. Many people support a banlist, inlcuding myself. It's unfortunate, and something I would rather not deal with, but if people insist on being infintile and leaving games then there is little alternative atm.
As I recall, in the thread where someone introduced his own Global banlist i
Furthermore, AI with human-like sentience is improbable due to the fact that a computer does not hum with the same random trains of thought as a human brain does-- a computer has no imagination, and thus cannot provide links between objects A and B, unless given a direct link by the programmer. Computers also have difficulty learning outside small branches, and between these two points it is unlikely at best to see a computer reach sentience, at least within our lifespans.
Err, why does everyone like Wireless mice so much? From my experience, they hog batteries and have a good tendency to malfunction... Maybe I just had a bad one. To each his own, I guess.
I don't think we need signatures on the forums, as they would just create longer posts and thus make us wait even longer for page loads while fiddling with the forums. In the end, they really achieve next to nothing.
I'm surprised at the amount of people offended by rules which in essence state: "I, ____________ hereby declare that I realize that other players also use this product for entertainment purposes, and thus will not act like an asshat, as it does not help myself or others enjoy the game." I mean really? I reserve the right to flame you because this game is just Such Serious Business? Fail.
Is there honestly any reason why a player would not buy the HoL if he couldn't afford it?
Err, if he can't afford it? Because he can't afford it. o0 I don't always buy it, even if I can afford it, because it lowers your stats by an effective 4.25k gold. That's a good bit of money that could be spent on helpful citidel upgrades, more HP armor, better attack damage, etc. In a pinch, you just hon
It's hard to describe, but the game is a lot more entertaining than you would expect. Each Demigod has several strategies (whether there are limited skills or not), and a player must learn to adapt his style to better defeat his opponents. If you enjoy PvP in MMO's or Diablo II, you might find what you're looking for here. It's just mixed in with some RTS elements.
Sigh. This issue persists through 1.01. Somewhere out there, my mind is wandering away. Methinks I lost it.
The bug where some of us cannot play 3v3's due to massive ping spiking remains, as of 1.01. In the lobby, ping will be somewhere around 200 or so for me, but in game, it will jump to 1000+, rendering the game unplayable. This is not an upload speed problem.
Personally, signatures never really seemed like a needed idea to me. Having the same message under everything you write doesn't really seem to achieve something that the Avatar fails to achieve. Having said that, I'd rent mine out to Google and make a small amount of money every time I posted.
Anything to work for Google, eh Don? Just messing with ya. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
This problem persists through 1.01. Hope Stardock and GPG can find a way to work on it soon.

I am pretty sure the performance difference from the i7 920 doesn't really justify the four-fold price increase; but, hey, if you've got money to burn, and it is worth it to you, then why not. If you remove your mouse and move to the flag, the glitch usually goes away. I've never seen it persist.
Yes, remember that saying "Well this is the problem for most people, but not you, OP!" does not, in fact, help the OP, and thus hardly contributes to the thread. While I may have legitamate concerns about my upload rate (.41 mb/s), many people who do not have such a connection exhibit the same problem, and thus it is clear that there are other factors at work. As the OP is one of these people, the purpose of this thread is to help THEM. Ghost, if you could somehow run i
CommanderAdama, despite the fact that I agree that consoles do indeed have a future, your patronizing attitude, insult slinging, and general flaming render your posts utterly useless for the purposes of persuasion. Please try using the forums in a way that doesn't belittle other users while portraying yourself as the epitome of internet idiocy. Also, someone quoted me and argued that I was Microsoft bashing, and that the peripheral had huge possibilities. To clarify,
