I originally siggested automating things to speed things up on request. For the current governor settings I would shut them off if they were global. I want to control how the computer does things, so I want more governor optons suggested Que's to take some of the redundancy out of the game. Not to change h0w the game works. I wouldn't support any automated option unless there was a way to shut it off, so if you aren't doing enough you can turn it on. Question i

Are we talking about a specific game or heroes in general. I like to national and world wonders in civilization 3, and thought it was better when they invented great people. Great people added a customization to a dry game. I can't see how adding great people wouldn't be better. As far as I can see the only great people that the game designers talked about were heroes. I think the current combat that only adds hit points when you level up is dry. That is at least one thing Sin

Well about remarks, spaceballs, and star wars it's all about the character that Stardock want to give the game. I don't care much about this except I like games better whrn they have something random ie events, anomolies and such. I agree that different factions think differently, but to create factions that don't think human is kind of complicated considering the best of your sci fi comes up with ideas from their lives to be realistic.

Well I guess if the change was to increment what is already there than that is fine. If the change is to change the game then they should reconsider if the change is good or not. I mean some changes like more factions would be good. I usually play with a 13 turn limit on my techs; unless there is no tech worth researching.

No you lied; now it's in the spring, and you said winter!!! Just kidding! I would rather get it right the first time. March 27th is fine. Thanks for the update. I would rather get the right instead of rushing the game.
I'm not a microbiologist, but I am a chemist who has taken more than a few biology and biochemistry courses. I can try to shed some small light on your questions, maybe the size of a small LED flashlight. First off, amino acids are not sugars. As the name suggests they are acidic. In organic compounds an acidic functional group comes at the end of a carbon chain, and consists of an oxygen atom double-bonded to the terminal carbon and an hydroxyl group (

I like the remarks to, but I think if we had multiple leader options with different abilities like they have in Civilization 4 would be nice to add. I wouldn't mind if they also added dialogue over time like trying to marry a daughter to another son of a faction for peace kind of dialogue like in Medieval total war. All three of these ideas combined would be nice. Still want to see 83 or at least more factions.

Sorry Rudy, but I think it should be both ways. If you think about it this would at least encourage you to build things we would usually not build otherwise. What I'm taking about is like influence structures. I understand this would give economically and morally built up factions an advantage. Ironically I'm slow at military. As far as the economy I'm very strong. This would actually work the assimilated planets concept on a more passive scale.
Quoting admiralWillyWilber, reply 46 Actually what I meant is the mechanics of the game. If all I had to worry about is morality, population, and influence then that's not a problem. The thing is how would the buildings work that was what I was talking about. If we are talking about conquering and assimulating then I would like to see that, and I don't have to worry about buildings. You mean like let's say the you c

Well streamlining means in programming to make the programs more efficient. I'm sorry they already said they are using bigger buses, they are making the game faster, and they are using all the threads so I guess it's too late they have already streamlined the game. If you been reading the game all I suggested eliminating redundancies. If you have ideas I think you should list them instead of only making vague references.y I think in some ways that complexity could mean

I'm all for a imigration system where people move to planets after it is set up. Or refugees for factions they don't like to factions that are economically more viable.
I'm intrigued by the idea of having mutually-exclusive research tasks, but I'm not sure if you should be completely locked out of, say, weapons tech. Maybe have it so that there are separate branches, with "non-specialized" branches being weaker than if you chose the opposing "specialized" path? For instance, if you specialize in weaponry, you get pulse lasers which do 2 damage at 100 cost, while som

One thimg that would like to see different is when you try to find your starbase when by using a list of star bases I would like to see a list for only my starbases this could be with the ship list like it was. I couldn't use it much because it gave everyone's starbase instead of just mine. How is this not more important than constructor spam. At least constructor spam didn't try to hide my starbase amongst a list of useless everyone's star bases.
So this really devolved into Steamtalk. I like the concept of blind research at least as an option but not total randomness. Each species should have a baseline tech tree that is always available and then unlock random branches. For instance, research materials in space provided you with increased research rates and that was it. Why not tie in a system that gives you access to a new branch of research for holdin
