Second reason valid, but as far as the first part of the first about being customisable any option no one would use is useless. For one I shut off surrenders and most victory options. See I take advantage of options, but if they are something I don't like like shutting off tech trading. I would never use that option. As long as my computer could handle it I would leave options on, but you already said after a few times you would shut it off.

As of Twilight there were two kind of treaties that would work a research treaty or alliances. I like research treaties because of the names if they went with alliances instead they could, or they may have a new option.
That is basically the Thalan. That doesn't mean that you couldn't have another insect. The main reason I like them is because I thought they were creative. I would like them to do better. I'm just not that creative. I did think that alien or their copycat when originally aired the Undine were pretty creative. I thought that E.t. and the Vesari looked pretty cool. I think that the new Xander look is pretty cool they should make that a faction instead. Shape shifters and parasites p
I;m changing the post because I like this idea, and it wasn't working anyways.
This is a great way to advertise the game. I know I watched a couple walk throughs of distant worlds before I decided that the game was worth buying.
Well Willy if we only had one per planet then you would only be renaming an already existing unit unless this was something everyone could build. The only way that you could have 10 per game is if a faction could build more than one of these otherwise they would be super projects. We don't have one per star system improvements. We could have regional wonders cover 1/20th of the map that way if all factions were even then is wouldn't be like a super project where it would cover t
You would think they are going to get wiped out. Maybe the Humans might be able to strike a deal. If it goes down to humans fighting with genocide their will always be activists and reservations, besides each side may be able to stalemate each other like the Koreans. Their is a few wild cards that hasn't been played. or a combination of both. 1. Now that the terror stars has been destroyed the Thalans may look on the Drengins, and decide that the Humans make better allies. Then tu
Well, finally the Terran game programmers have realized that it is completely, and morally, ethical to eat the cattle species when they taste good. Also, knowing that exterminating vermin species to make room for the Chosen Race is an ideal to be admired and encouraged, it warms my heart to see the understanding this is not evil. Besides, it is fun! And don't forget, enslaving other races is good for economic growth and stability,
The Krynn looks cool. I also thought the picture quality was better than before.
More galactic wonders- There were only a handful on gc2, but they were really cool.
Well there were plenty of wonders in Galactic civilizations if you were the Terrans or the Arceans, For the most part there were an uneven amount of wonders on different factions.
So this really devolved into Steamtalk. Each species should have a baseline tech tree that is always available and then unlock random branches. For instance, research materials in space provided you with increased research rates and that was it. Why not tie in a system that gives you access to a new branch of research for holding that material. You don't know what it will inspire your people to design and thus be
@ About the animated avatars. I would like to see this as an option that may be toggled on/off with checkbox in game set up and/or a settings page accessible in game. Prefer many options accessible in this manner... allow the game to be significantly customized.
Wait what why would you want this turned off are you worried about your computer not being powerful enough, and this might slow you down.
The current plan is that the production wheel sets the civilization default with the ability of players to override it on a planet by planet basis. This allows players who want to micro-manage their planets to do so without forcing them to do so if they don't want to. The question is: What level of per planet tinkering do you think the game should have and why?
This I guess this is the games way to specialize
Retired game programmer. He is!
I couldn't stop thinking of this idea, so I decided to make the post. I decided it was better to modify one of my unsuccessful posts, Hopefully someone will comment this time around. I also have other tech ideas.
Thank you!!! That was awesome!!!
Per planet basis. I'm having a hard time seeing the purpose behind this.
I cam kind of see this unless every planet you colonize is cookie cutter which I cant see why you would do that when different planet comes with different bonuses. Plus the capitals. For the most part the planets are going to be the same until you get a starship bonus or research bonus. Dido until you build the economic/political, technol
Not talking game terms but feasably unfeasably if one of these things were able to be build it would make no sense to move them to a distance of an astronomical unit, but make them much closer resource wise and make the habitat modules seperate and further back beaming the energy back to the habitat islands. A Ringworld is almost a Dyson swarm except a Dyson swarm is a bunch of satalites doing the same thing.
That's a cool ship not like the survey ship in 2.
I see you're still having issues with this. There is no such thing as "the custom tech tree". Custom civilizations, both player civilizations and custom AI opponents, could be assigned any tech tree in the game. I think the default option was the general "minor civ" tech tree, but there was no reason to leave it that way. Just an idea not an issue. If you want this tech tree it is only for customized factions
When I originally made that comment I didn't know what the Steambox was as I've been searching I noticed that steam has an operating system can I download that into my computer instead.
A Dyson swarm maybe. A Dyson circle maybe. But a Dyson Sphere is very unlikely. If we turn the power consumption when the satalites hit the ecliptic plane and turn the power consumption on when they left then it wouldn't affect the other planets and stuff, but this would give less power. This should be an option to use if you want. Whats a ringworld.
I didn't like the Yor style in Galactic civilizations 2, or the color purple.

Minimized programs still take up resources; like CPU cycles (unless they are idle), and memory (mostly swap file space).
