I was actually talking to Kanij actually but my responce actually did include what u said. Mainly because Fsrk avatar is the easiest of the games because of a lack of a challenging Ai. Why r u not playing the more challenging Dread lords or why do u not go to Twilight of the Arnor many of the Aspects r the same for most of the races what u lack in ability can be made up in Tech, but in Twilight of the Arnor the Techs are different so it would be alittle harder with different Techs with the Th

I got to assume U R playing twilight of the Arnor since it is the latest one your using. Since U R talking about war this will help it at least give u breathing room In the beginning Dark Avatar is not a bad idea though. If your plauing Dark avatar I would try the Altarians they r the most powerful on the game to my opinion. I sill back a stradegy of as many colonies as possible I would pick creativity at the beginning of the game. I would also trade for research and economic treaties as soon
Ok I wrote a general guide that noone has read keeping in mind that I'm trying to explain a basic stradegy can U read it and give me advice on basic stradegy
I read DiveWrath stradegy guide I thought it was really good on the differences of the different races, but not being able to play any race stradegy. So he inspired me to write a stradegy guide. This is meant to compliment not to replace, but I would suggest reading mine first playing for awhile this is good with the terrans or torians but the krynn altarians korath or drengin work too this doesn't work this way for the Yor though Then go read the guides for the most part with some modifi
Two reasons I would use Dark avatar to learn the game. First the Ai is easier I would recomment Altarians to start off witth because they seem to be the most powerful to play with. The best 2 Ai's r the Krynn and the Korath sp if u need it easier to start off with minus theese 2. All the techs r the same so u don't have to wory about specialised techs untill u get used to it. Dread lords is harder than Dark avatar, but the main reason u would consider Dread lords is the lack of specia
Well my question is why I never played a game where I could not see the enemy coming my problem is ignoring the enemy for a more important reason like colonizing. I usually put only one sensor on a survey ship instead of scout ships I do this to get more colony ships out there. I have made survey ships that will survey or explore the whole map so this is not an issue of range so can U explain the logic of this
I came up with a really insane programmig idea assuming the computers Ai is on your Ram or can be blocked from accesing the Ram and assuming U know how to program I like C but U could use comething prodigy ir the like C# would be really efficient this isn't common knowledge but they use an assembler not a compiler An assembler converts code to bianary only assembly and C does this bianary is the native language of all computers a compiler is the next best thing it converts code to a langu
Well thanks for the mod I did leave U a message their but u said wouldn't work on another forum I did realise yesturday [atoence is a problem but I did check out the advanced charging stalk and u only have a morale of %60 I think I just need to get used of playing things differently I also thought of what u said of morale plus farming it would take 4 not 2 stalks on yout average worlds instead of 2 to reach a planet of 8 billiion to 20 billion I have noticed things r really stable but slo
Is it possible to rewrite the event and then replace it
Thanks I will try this mod
Well I havn't modded but I have customised races the best way I've found the Korath to be is even better tha n the Torians is put all the points into morale economics and then population growth with a generic Ai this actually causes them to do better expansion than the Torians with almost as much research as the Thalans. If U can control the Ai can U get them to stop trading away planets another annoying thing they do is after they get planetary improvements they automatically upgrade
My question is what would u like to see in a patch for the game. I would suggest that the Yor needs a patch
I've noticed Stardock instead of making a new Galactic civilizations game they have tried to replace that with a new game. The problem is they have tried to classify Galactic civilizations as a role playing game or tried to come out with real time stradegy instead but the problem is that Gakactic civilizations is a tech researching turn based space stradegy game not a fantasy role playing game I would like to hear your ideas for a new tech researching turn based space stradegy game that s
My question does the Yor needs fixing in a mod, patch, and or a new game. If it doesn't need fixing canU explain how they r at least average or better. f they do need fixing how. be cimprehensive.
I would like to hear everyones idea on Galactic civilizations 3 on how u think the new game should be remember that it should at least be an improvement on Galactic civilizations 3 be able to compete with the other turn based tech researching stratedegy games
I want to open this thread sp they can fix the Jagged Knife and the other events like that like the order so can U post your ideas
Well I would like to hear from everyone who plays the Yor to find the best way to play.
Why don't U just change their Ai to Krynn Generic Torian or Terran so the Ai will make more ships. Or U could just mod to make things different U could change the Korath giving him a Generic Ai maxed out morale economy and the rest in population growth also if U customise opponents they will expand better though the Ai don't know how to play the Yor If u can't sell the Ai ships just give it to them if u r talking about the minor races u can change that in the editor
I want to see a comparison of the Yor vs. your favorite species please post here for debates for or against the Yor
[quote who="marigoldran" reply="3" id="3392277"] Build farms on your border planets and increase population to like 16 billion with super-breeder. They can try to invade, but they'll fail. Even if they control the space around the planet, if the pop is high enough, the AI has to pay a huge price to capture it. And even if they manage to invade a planet, who cares? If you can influence-flip 3 planets for every 1 planet they capture, you're getting ah
Can U give the Jagged knife a generic Ai this would probably cause them to start fixing the really big empire
Hey I have a post that is what is a good stradegy for the Yor I posted this because I can't make the Tech stradegy work satisfactory I would like to go back to playing the Yor can U post there also and help me out
[quote who="Gaunathor" reply="22" id="3402500"] Granted, the Yor are pretty unique in that regard. However, I still don't understand why you called them "broken". Using the word "broken" implies, that the Yor don't work at all, which isn't the case, in my opinion. Quoting michaelwhittaker, reply 20we do get 2 specialised wonders Two? I already mentioned the DEM, but what is the other one? r Hyper computers new or is it only a Yor trade goo
Only having an empire of 5 planets concern me. R u playing on a small map. If u r thats cool since I don't play on small maps, and don't have any idea on this. But if u r not playing on a small map. Then u r doing something wrong. Hope u r not making the mistake of self suficient economies. Some people freak out if they can't have a production of %100. The truth is the game requires this. This is the way that your population grows. It does appear that u r
Going back to he original question versus the responce what. I would ask them have U ever played a game in the middle of a war and forgot to save and replayed part of the game again I have. I've seen what has happened when U invade with massive troop transports advanced troop transports attacking with 3 transports in a fleet or 1 multiple troop mods on 1 ship I would also ask them a question if they pay attention to the invasion screen instead of watching the stats while they
