Since bunch of your PHC units bear names from Greek mythology, may i suggest names Atlas and Kerberos/Cerberus for the PHC T3/T4 units to continue this trend.
Of the ones you listed I only watched 12 Monkeys season 2; Game of Thrones season 6; Stranger Things and Sense8. However, I will get around to the others as have them saved to drive on my Foxtel set topbox. Like you, I like season 1 of 12 Monkeys better than season 2. In 2 the plot got a little too convoluted and became a whole different storyline. It was okay but could have been better. I loved Game o
Being sick and bored, not feeling like doing things i should be doing, decided to update this thread with list of shows i watched during 2016.... X-Files 2016 - it was terrible, bar maybe 1 or 2 episodes? Which were actually passable cause of the comical relief? Seriously, i was looking forward to it, this time around a year ago, and could not be more disappointed 12 Monkeys - 2nd Season - 1st season was IMO promising, but the
How about making the Substrate P4 airborne? At least one, if not all of them? Anyway, the factions dont need just bunch of new units, but some kind of sophisticated tech-tree to differentiate factions further. They still lack any semblance of character or uniqueness when comparing one to another, Escalation done very little in this regard. Just bunch of new units does not cut it.
So i saw the movie on sunday evening and IMO it was superior to last years movie. Not calling it masterpiece, as mainstream movies like this these days rarely are, not enough depth allowed for that, but it was pretty much how i imagined SW 7 to be.... only for it to end up carbon copy of A new hope. All in all, surprisingly, i was fairly satisfied.
I have Corsair H105 on my i7 6850K. I have it OCed @ 4,2GHz/1,3 Vcore and the temps are 28-29 at idle and 50-55 when fully loaded (during Cinebench rendering). So i guess i can recommend, if you are willing to spend so much. This is the first time i have water-cooling. I had it installed by a friend, but i dont think its somehow different to how regular heatsinks are mounted - i would not be scared of it.
It all depends on what you're playing, the current trend makes the power of your processor less relevant, not more so. A hyper-threaded quad is already more horsepower than you should ever need for a video game in the next several years. If you've stopped playing anything like Sins, sure, it's not really a concern. If you're still burning a few hours a week on it and you'd really like to play a huge game
Be aware that the 6800K is as much slower than a 6700K as it is faster than my 2500K from 5 years ago for it's single threaded performance. Not a problem going forwards, but it will impact games like Sins, which is where a few of us are posting from. Edit: I would wait for the AMD release even if you wouldn't buy an AMD if they were twice as fast. Regardless of whe
IMO if you want to keep the computer for say next 5 years, as opposed to just 2 and then upgrade again, get x99 and sixcore CPU instead of 6700k/7700k... even if for gaming. Latest AAA games like obviously Ashes, but BF1 and few others too, actually gain from having more cores, i mean more than 4, already. And its probably trend for the future. For that budget (1200 to 1600), i would get in your place cheap X99 mobo (personally have GB x99p SLI, which has M2 slot), i7 6800k (cause its
Isnt the 10core CPU like 1800 USD/EUROs? Not sure about price of that Xeon, but i think i7 6950x is, from what i could remember... and you would want to spend that much money just cause of Ashes? In situation, when already 4,5GHz 5820k gotta run the game flawlessly? [e digicons]8(|[/e] Now if i had the money, i would probably want to buy it myself, even if i did not need it, cause i am standard nerd enthusiastic about the latest and most powerful hardware, so i c
You guys say these nice things now. We'll see how you feel in a few months. I am told that people just like explosions and battles. Economies, diplomacy, and yes, espionage have had a great deal of say in the fate of nations. And the only way those elements are relevant is if you have an AI behind them. Otherwise, as I used to argue with Space Empires IV fans, they're just
More importantly, will affect gameplay, or its just there for looks? On topic of surface textures, i reserve my judgement for later, when i get a chance to play the game myself, as its not the same as judging from screenshots.
To put it another way, would you enjoy a "Star Trek" game or film, which did NOT include ANY of the aliens or lore of Star Trek? Simply calling a film "Star Trek" does not make it Star Trek. The same is true for "Star Control."
I totally understand where are you coming from and IMO its true it really does not make much sense to call the game Star Control,
Not to offend anybody, but to be honest with you, the terrain texture looks rather shit. Hope thats not its highest possible resolution, cause its fairly blurry compared to the 3D models of buildings and units, which are pretty sharp otherwise. Its difficult to put into words, but the it looks weird overall and just not right - unlike sandy and grassy landscapes from the original game.
It looks good, well visually to say at least. I usually prefer realistic graphics over cartooney style, but i have no issue with how this looks. Actually some games, which clearly have not as graphically capable engine under they hood as Nitrous is - Stellaris for example - could really use this kind of style. Anyway, good work, keeping an eye on this now.

So is this going to be akin Act of Aggression, which nowadays is playable in 2 versions - original and reboot? If yes, are u sure this is a good idea? What if i am hypothetically in the TA camp, so not so high on strategic zoom and more complex economy, but i would looove those additional units, which come with Escalation, to have in my base game? BTW, to me Ashes does not feel like having more content on release than Sins had in 2008. Sins felt far more nuanced from the beginning.</p

...so, anyone saw yesterday´s Keynote? Your thoughts? Personally, its more or less in line with what i expected, thus usual hardware improvements of CPU, cameras, battery etc... and no new killer feature, something innovative nodody else does. Some gameplay video with the introduction of the new units and all the new stuff in general would be nice. Cant really see whats new on those screenshots - except the terrain texture and global view.
You asked about cpu temp. I just watched a few episodes of Orphan Black, (video streaming)and then ran speecy. Core was 90 and red. Its been decreasing since I stopped the video streaming. Seems to 'rest' at 66-70 (orange). When I run speecy, it jumps back up to 74, and then slowly decreases. I think this means the cpu is running too hot, doesn't it.
<p
