[quote who="willistuder" reply="9" id="3689085"] I have just sprung big bucks for an Intel i9 with a Gigabyte x299 gaming 9 motherboard, 64 GB of 2666Mhz RAM, 2 Samsung 960 Pro 1 TB SSD's (in RAID 0, for a 2TB drive at twice the speed, and in M.2 slots, a newish higher speed bus), and an adequate graphics card (GTX 1050). It will be used for a DAW (digital audio workstation). 64GB of RAM is insane unless you work with high resolution audio (or video, especially). For example, one of my p

Anyone of the resident HW enthusiasts going to upgrade to upcoming AMD Threadripper or Intel i9? If yes, which one are you looking at? Personally, i was thinking about sticking to my last year´s setup with 6-core Intel CPU, but the upgrade bug gets stronger the more i read about it :-D Now i consider getting the CPU and new mobo and switching just 2 of those for my current ones, keeping the rest of the rig the same - which i think should be no issue. I will probably go Intel way

[quote who="zuPloed" reply="5" id="3675585"] Quoting Timmaigh, reply 4 I guess the game is moddable enough that you can probably make even ground units move without any terrain underneath, but that could be perhaps more complicated thing, requiring even scripting? I would not know. With air units though, it would be pretty

Thank you again! I checked those vids before, pretty much all the relevant ones, so i had already a certain picture in my head. Regarding the space, air units and Z-axis, i did not really had that in mind (z-axis), although it would be nice if my units/starships could move not on the exactly same plane - just for aesthetical reasons. Since i saw StarBattle, i assumed if i wanted space based game (without any terrain), i would need to base my mod on air units, as these

Thanks your your response. ZuPloed. I checked those sites you provided and some others and i am starting to get more complete picture. OFC i wont know many things for sure, until i try them on my own, but i am starting to be fairly sure of one thing - as you suggested, i am gonna need help, cause doing it all myself would be way too much, even if i was capable doing it all (which i doubt - if there is any scripting needed, i am toast). Ideally, i would need to find someone, who could

Is there anyone over here, who has insight into modding StarCraft 2 or even better some experience with it? Someone who knows, how to do certain things, what is possible and what is not, what exactly is needed, if one wants to give it a try, given the fact StarCraft 2 was actually released in 3 parts, etc... I have personal ambition/dream to build "simple" RTS game set in Star Trek universe in my free time. Since i cant code, i can at best only hope to mod something. Not to mention, e

If Sins 2 is not on the cards yet, how about another content addition to Rebellion? While i would love completely new game, honestly even if it was just remake of Rebellion on the Nitrous engine with better graphics, i would be fine with just another iteration of the original game as well. Surely letting the game using twice as much RAM as before + all these late game optimizations opened the space for more content from devs themselves, i mean more than 18MB of better textures?

Well. if i remember correctly, today its exactly 5 years since the Rebellion was released - although only in its beta state with just TEC factions initially. That said, after 5 years it would be nice if we finally heard something more official and less vague on topic of potential sequel. My body is ready. Thank you!

There does not need to be any explanation or justification why not. 2. Land units dont need to be able to interact with naval ones. The

[quote quoting="post"] Ok, so there has been talk about Ashes receiving a dlc/update with naval units. While this is a cool idea, a bunch of questions comes up as a result of it. Lets start with the first question. Why have naval specific units when all of the units in the game can hover? If units can hover, land or naval units could technically traverse both domains. So if the game does add naval specific units, how do yo

Am i reading this right? Will naval units/gameplay be in one of these DLCs? Regarding merging and whatnot, i think you are making it complicated to yourself for no reason. Escalation is superior game to the original the same way Rebellion is to original 2008 Sins. IMO anyone who

However, I will get around to the others as have them saved to drive on my Foxtel set topbox. Like you, I like season 1 of 12 Monkeys better than season 2. In 2 the plot got a little too convoluted and became a whole different storyline. It was okay but could have been better. I loved Game o
