Can someone describe the game somewhst closer please? I knew its going to be combination of RUSE and WiC, but i thought, its more like RUSE gameplay in Cold War setting - therefore the link to WiC. Meanwhile, after checking that manual, it seems it has more common with WiC than setting, i understand there is no base building, right? @OP> there are 8 sides including Poland, Czecho slovak , British,.... - fixed for you :-P

That Vasari Titan as mobile Homeworld, is that merely suggestion or is is really going to be ingame? Is this going to be the same titan - the loyalist one - which is apparently capable of destroying planets (would make sense, as they do not need planets themselves, they may as well destroy them to cripple others), or is this meant to be the Rebel titan?
As the title says. Suggestions? [e digicons]:D[/e]

I was on this concert last April in Prague. It was very nice experience indeed. Although shortly after that, i was not very pleased, i thought the sound was bit shit, it was inside the hockey arena. But now, with a bit of retrospect, i have only good memories on it, it was truly a once-in a lifetime experience. This summer i am going to Brucie Springsteen, to Prague again. I suppose the PinkFloyd music is more my cup of a tea, but i am sure, i am going to like this as well. Espe
Great article, very informative, thanks.
New "gameplay" video, showing mostly zooming in and out between star systems. The graphics is IMHO gorgeous, especially those various lens flares, bokeh, etc, planet and asteroids casting shadows on the nebula, etc...
timmaigh - are you sure you followed the instructions? It was at CES 2012 and demonstrated there... so it clearly does work...
it asks me, when i turn it on, if i have little "A" logo somewhere on the screen and says if not, that is ok for now. I suppose it has something to do with the ability to point the phone´s camera at some random screen and show you the adjacent video, animation, etc. ... I could only create my own
I tried it on the weeke on iphone 4S, but i do not really got its purpose. That "point on picture inside magazine" and it will start video does not work (at least, where i live or what), as i pointed on the car advert and nothing happened. On other hand, creating those auras myself, so i pictured some random thing in my house and what next? there are possibilities to add some pre-made animations, but these are as random as the picture i shot, so again, what is the point in all of this? <
It has very nice design, has to be said. First Nokia ever, i consider to be on par with Sony (Ericsson) products design-wise. IMHO alongside iPhone 4S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and upcoming Sony Xperia S best looking smartphone currently.
Just to keep you informed, in case you are interested, the game is scheduled for the release on 20th April 2012 . This is the retail release though, the game might be actually available digitally sooner, possibly via Steam or directly from the official website, in which case you might get a beta version of the game, if you preorder directly from the devs. How it will exactly look like, the whole scheme of selling digital copies, is still rather unclear to me, i will try to upd
I doubt sins will ever look as good as homeworld2... its a different scale. Homeworld is about one battle in one area. Sins is about entire systems. Thats why homeworld ships have more working parts and more detail.
True that, but at the same time, Homeworld 2 is 2002 game, while Sins is from 2008, soon to be refreshed, therefore 10 years difference. It would be kinda lame, if the 10 years older game looked better, r
Hey I don't know how I can be more clear. My girlfriend will be doing something on Facebook and the notebook will lose the connection with the router. No message is given. The notebook then reconnects after a period of time. This happens multiple times. I'm not sure how to set up XP to lock on to the router using anything but auto DNS. Not even sure that's the issue.
Mhm, cant help you then, i suppose, sorry.
You need to state more specific info about what is exactly happening. How is it dropping connection? What will it say, i mean some kind of error message, or can you ran some diagnostic like on Win7 or something? I had issue with my home wifi network, after i bought iphone 4s, everytime i tried to access mails or safari from the phone, it would drop the connection, more specifically, the DNS server would not respond. I could not reach these services from the phone, neither could i acce
I actually greatly enjoyed the HW2 campaign. With the new bump mapping and effects mods its insane to play even today. I did miss the fuel consumption and other smaller HW1 details that were not in HW2. I cannot imagine how fine hw3 would be with a modern engine on par with say company of heroes or DOW2...... however major stress I agree with your "dumbing down" concerns. the graphics mod updates
Two things. One is that the in-game music of HW2 was still very similar to the original, but given that even the original was very subtle as not to detract from the gameplay, it makes sense that it would go unnoticed. The cinematics and cut-scenes where you did notice the music is actually Indian, not Middle Eastern. The primary instrument being the sarangi. Second is that if Homeworld were to keep the tact
Comparing Sins, and Homeworld is like comparing Apples, and Oranges. They have similarity, but they are not the same. Sins is a game focused more on "grand strategy" like most 4x's are. While Homeworld is also strategy game. However Homeworld is more focused on the tactical aspect of a local battlefield. Not an entire galaxy like sins. Sins can be considered an evolution. I can see Homeworld going this route if they m
cant choose one single game, i liked and played a lot: Max Payne, PES 6, NHL 2004, Call of Duty games, Call od Cthulhu: Dark Corners of Earth, W40k: Dawn of War, Generals: Zero Hour, Homeworld 2 and SoaSE.
Anyone seen the movie? Just found out about it, i am about halfway reading the book, so i wonder how the movie compares... i suppose the sensible choice would be to finish the book and then watch the movie anyway, but it will be tough to resist now. BTW today i finally listened to that Beatles song, never heard it before, as its not as famous as Let it Be or Yesterday, and have to say, its brilliant...
I loved Madagascar 2, it was pretty funny, especially King Julien and Stevie :D then i suppose Ratatouille and Ice Age were pretty good Wall-E is perhaps the best looking of the lot, or is there something better in the mean-time? Oh yes, and do not forget Titan A.E., the only pure sci-fi animated movie i recall to ever see
Quoting Timmaigh, reply 10 where it IMHO "failed" in comparison to original, was the story, which really was nowhere near as compelling as the original (which was not very original itself though, see BSG)... BSG and Homeworld pull from the bible. The original was Exodus, including many famous sites encountered during the exodus, such as Kadesh. Homeworld 2 was using Revelations and applying the Trinity. The story was no mor
OK, guys... so additionally to shows i wrote about in my OP - Surface, Threshold, Flash Forward, Event, Odyssey 5 and Firefly i saw recently Invasion and now i am in the process of watching Space above and beyond (which i already saw though, 10-15 years ago), Falling Skies and FarScape (which is my first time and so far, 2 epidoses before the 1st season finale, i am really enjoying it). Anyway i have to plan ahead, so what do you suggest next to keep me entertained? Obviously
I tried it and it was not the game for me. I admit, under different circumstances, i might change my view of it, i never played it in teamwork, which i suppose is its most important part. Anyway, what you consider to be a redeeming quality, i find to be a reason, why the game should never be called real-time strategy. Compared to games like Sins, RUSE or SupCom, even games like CnC and StarCraft cant be really called strategies, as they concentrate too much on unit control and m
why do you guys dont like HW2 so much anyway? Granted, the original HW game was the best one in the series, i consider it myself to be the best one. But i do not hold HW2 as a failure. IMHO it kept lot of positives from the original game, it kept its brilliant artistic style, music, the voice-over and gameplay mechanics for the most part, i felt it had more thought-out multiplayer component. The only part, where it IMHO "failed" in comparison to original, was the story, which really was nowhe
Just signed. although i doubt it is going to change THQs mind, they want the game to be sold in millions, 10 000 is laughable number for them. @ Major Stress> You are way too cynical. The creators of the original HW may be gone, but they are not the only capable and talented people in the industry. I suppose Company of Heroes was created at Relic by totally different people than HW and the game is not half bad. I say, we have nothing to lose. At worst the game will en
