Some new screenshots, the game is nearing its completion: <

The concept art is pretty good, absolutely love it. I believe the Charybdis is Vasari Titan and the second one, forgot the name, with blue windows and glowing stuff is Advent one.
Haha, when i saw the thread, the first name to come to my mind was....Hans Gruber...and you have him there! [e digicons][/e]
Cities XL 2011 (or maybe 2012 already?) http://www2.citiesxl.com/
Well. tbf, i am not much of a fan of older, i mean lets say pre-80s movies, as lot of them had some weird way of story-telling. One example for all, old James Bond movies with Connery, Dalton etc...i always found a story of them somehow chaotic, unlike the newer ones with Pierce Brosnan, which feel more structured, action packed etc... its hard to explain the difference, but there is one for me. But this is true not only for James Bond, i felt this way in general, when watching old movi
Seasonic, hands down. S12-D series is not that expensive and as good as it gets.

There was a big thread on this on the Gamereplays COH message boards. Still, as it did not happen in the end, we can only speculate. Since Company of Heroes didn't sell that well and Company of H
Relic's next RTS has already been announced as being Dawn of War 3. Was hoping for more Company of Heroes myself, alas. Jon
TBF, i do not think the next RTS announcement by Relic was meant to be DoW3, as this one is known to be in works for some time. AFAIK it was meant to be something else, something alongside DoW3, most probably either HW3 or Company of Heroes 2 (more likely option, but i would pref
Words of wisdom, have to do it this way myself, as these days, more often than not, i end up disappointed.
As the title says, the GamesCom was pretty disappointing to me, i was looking toward> Modern Warfare 3, but there was no new media presented, Command and Conquer, i expected new game to be announced, which did not happen, Homeworld 3, Relic was supposed to announce a new RTS project, but somehow ended up showing Space Marine only, which does not excite me one bit, Gemini Wars, which was apparently presented there and its new publisher was supposed to be unve
Was it stated somewhere during the show, that the alien structure is the Mothership? Personally i thought so originally, but now, given the fact its built from human materials, i am more inclined to believe, its supposed to be some kind of starport or something else...but not the alien ship.
Star Trek Armada and Conquest Frontier Wars. The resulting game would be basically CFW set in Trek Universe. I would be willing to substitute CFW for upcoming Gemini Wars (but this would depend on the quality of that game, as it was not released yet, its difficult to tell) or perhaps Sins (but i would require some changes, mostly related to making the game more multiplayer-oriented). Alternatively i could use crossover of Homeworld and Sins, again basically it would play like Si
I think the new Galactica is slightly overrated... do not get me wrong, i love its base story, characters, music, ships, the overall atmosphere of the show and there were some brilliant moments, especially the first half of the 4th season was jawdropping for me.... but i still prefer Babylon 5 and DS9 to it. Although these shows i believe were as good as BSG, when it comes to acting and character development, i think they dedicated themselves more to the sci-fi part of the show, while
Shit, i accidentaly read the spoiler [e digicons]XO[/e] Well, i saw the first 5 eps so far and they were vastly underwhelming. And those sweet father-son conversations, hate this wannabe melodramatic stuff. Just watched DS9 today on local TV, episode called Duet and it was so much more believable, i mean the emotions... the level of acting was something else. And i considered Noah Wyle to be a decent actor, based on his ER appearances. Anyway, the spoiler sounds interes
Thanks for your answers. I realize the mod might never be completely finished, i know its the nature of the things. I have myself 2 models for the B5 mod under construction for almost half a year and i am unable to finish them, cause of the lack of time or enthusiasm in the right moment, when i have that time. I was just curious about the state of the mod, as there is not much info around, was not aware of its ModDB site. I tried some early version for the vanilla game one or 2
Could you guys please post some new ingame pictures and give bit more info on the status of the mod? For example i wonder if the structures for all the races were already replaced with the proper trek models, or they are still Sins placeholders? I am thinking about trying it out, as it looks brilliant, but tbf, if there is still half of the stuff missing, i think i will wait for the final version. This thread could definitely use a bit more info on this matter. Anyway,
Quoting Volt_Cruelerz, reply 25I've also wondered how a black hole can even be magnetic because some show on the discovery channel (I think it was Through the Wormhole) actually said they even eat magnetic fields... and magnetic fields are made of light... and since light can't escape... I used to think that was a good show, but now... they are taking alot of pseudo-science and advocating it as science. T
I am glad you enjoy talking to me [e digicons]:D[/e] BTW did not know, that the saucer shape is connected to the warp thing, care to elaborate more? Could google it, but cant be arsed right now. Anyway, the saucer thing is laughable, i work as architect and really i cant even imagine to propose saucer-like building. I know spaceship is not a building and there are types of buildings like stadiums etc.. where the circular shape makes sense, but really? Utter
@ Whiskey> Thanks for the response. Wanted to quote you on each point, but it would be too much work[e digicons]:D[/e] Regarding visual error and inconsistencies: check Ex Astris Scientia , they have lot of articles dedicated to this stuff. Most of these inconsistencies are caused by differences between physical and CGI model, when both were used on the show. For example i know there were more versions of Defiant, although i cant define the dif
This thread is hilarious. Did not read it in its entirety, only first few pages and then last 2, but it seems that Whiskey is hellbent about proving StarWars universe being "superior" than StarTrek universe. Or is it about Galactic Empire being superior to ST´s Federation? Cause the thread name says SW vs ST, not GW vs Feds. Anyway its quite funny, youre trying to argument each other using "math", when clearly tech in both universes is technobabble and BS, moreso in SW than ST, i suppos

The idea of a particle potentially existing on either side of a barrier simultaneously and be "told" where to be would have been roundly laughed at a century ago. I forget the exact year but the head of the British Academy of Science around the turn of the century proclaimed space travel, "impossible" and it was precisely because of gu

I'd be happy to drop the subject, but I must note that I don't think it's stupid to call out crap like "when the Jew controls." Falling Skies lost me immediately because it just seemed like more of the same effects-heavy invasion/apocalypse stuff. The series Invasion was yet another one-seaso
