i hate the chatbox constantly popping up on the whole left half of the screen... love the patch as a whole though.
drugfreeboy
i also play TB. I love the changes to heart of life and priests.
Stardock reset everyone's favor points. Its not that they couldn't have kept them if they wanted to, but no, you will lose your old favor points because stardock decided to level the playing field out. They had issues with the favor point system in the past that gave some people extra points and robbed others of deserved points.
The only change I would like to see is a majority vote for Conced. I have played two games tonight where 1 person took far to long to Conced and dragged out the game.
I disagree. It shouldn't be majority vote. It should be everyone on a team concedes or nothing happens. Personally, I like to go down fighting, so I don't expect to do much conceding. My team mates conceding will just let me know that they would like it to end,
I wouldnt be against seeing AI DG's give like 1/3 xp and gold. They need to atleast give something. Also, just an idea , but I don't know how well the AI does with its builds. Maybe AIs should be given a few preset builds that they like? I'm suggesting you have someone pretty good at the game give each character a few builds that the Ai will choose from. Right now it just seems like they get random skills. If the demigods already have been given a few builds to choose from, then well
So spam doesn't belong in off topic? I guess off topic is a serious place.
Alright guys, serious question . Unleash all your technical skills to solve this problem, because it's very serious . So in pokemon, how did the pokedex work? Could you just point it at a pokemon, it takes a picture, parses the image and figures out what that little beastie in front of you is? Or did the pokemon have to say its name, then the pokedex could use some sort of vocal recognition to
gotta admit that its usually auto lose in any team-based game (regardless of genre but definitely RTS type games) if one of your guys quit and you are left with an ai...can't really single demigod out on that... Anyway, 1.1 looks exciting and 1.2 looks even more awesome!
a premade custom games option would be cool.
I guess i've never thought about the mind games you could play with hammer slam...the way you can make enemies all scatter in different directions by just starting the hammer slam animation, then aborting it when they all move. seems like making your opponents walk around uselessly for a second or two would help in a fight with multiple DGs from both sides.
I play tb a ton, don't be under the impression that your auto attack sucks just b/c you are a 'caster'. You can often do more dps per second in the early game by just auto attacking than using fire ball. Fireball is just great for its range. Lets you harass from far away.
fyi, staff of renewal doesn't work too well with ring of fire. If you cast a second ring of fire while an earlier one is still burning, they will both end when the first one ends. Its a bug.
I play frost tb a lot, so I try to save my deep freeze till the last second when I'll need it to interupt something. I let my auto attack do a lot of my damage. Like against Sedna or Oak, I'll let them get off one heal or one shield, and I'll start counting in my head to like 5 or 6, then I will deep freeze them because I know that they will usually be relying on having a second chance to cast that ability in order to survive. Lately though I've actually been starting to interup
The demigod's voice lines :P "Was that five bolts or six?"
any idea what the demo is gonna have in it? Is it single player only? Can you only play a couple maps/ a couple demigods? etc etc
A lot of people I talk to think that QoT has the best minions....Cuz they actually have range. Never heard someone claim that yetis are awesome though haha
I think some people tend to miss the fact that different demigods can do different things. For instance people say torch bearer can't kill demigods late game. That may be kinda true, but he is your favorite giant slaughtering little caster right?
Well if he was in pantheon, he doesn't really have a chance to choose the counter to the enemy team. I wonder if two rooks could beat two QoTs who went anti building. Or maybe some torch bearers? Ofcourse erebus can just go around the towers with bat swarm :P.
I like the way this thread started off with a constructive tone [e digicons][/e] . I think priests are pretty good late game (like atleast level ten or higher), but bad in the beginning. I never knew they gave that much gold! I play as torch bearer too so I love to hear "enemy priests have joined the battle". I don't like the way that it's the only upgrade that will not only cost you gold, but will likely help the other team. I'm open to some change
I agree with Frogboy that a lot of people keep saying things need to be "fixed" when the issue is a design decision rather than a technical problem . Some of the people complaining about design decisions need to be more polite and decent in their posts imo. There are some bugs out there besides the pantheon ones though, although I understand that fixing the pantheon should come first. One such bug that comes to mind is that if you cast a ring of fire a
I think in a perfect world that the programmers would like to think that the AI plays at about the level of an average human, so that would be an obstacle to this sort of idea...but I don't really think it would be that bad of an idea to have the AI only reward a fraction of what a human death would. Its so easy to trick the ai into thinking it doesn't need to run until its too late... The obvious solution is smarter AI though :P. Probly not gonna see it till mod
haha I laughed, I woulda laughed more if he didn't use the lol-speak though and made up some sarcastic logical debate or something.
rofl it was 2-3 k in the first 30 seconds because of the fact that we all had heavens wrath too. 4 lightning bolts adds an extra 1000 AoE damage with no range limitation. And yeah tacoguy, I gotta admit if yal didn't have the oaks that game woulda been pretty gay for your team. Now I know to make half my team oak, or maybe even queen of thorns, when I see the other team is all regulus. but yeah congrats on beating the horrible quad regulus, premade, on teamspeak team lol
working as intended. be thankful you get to keep the item and just suffer the cooldown. what would really suck is if you didn't get your potion or scroll back.
Yeah I almost think it should be that way, but the way they have it now where you only get the cool down is cool too.
So I been wantin to do this forever but haven't cause of the taboo against demigod stacking and especially regulus stacking. Just played a 4v4 on leviathan. My whole team was regulus, we all had heavens wrath, and we were on team speak. We lost to a group of giants down the middle while we were still war score nine. I figured we had a 50% chance of winning from the start though anyway. The other team was sort of an anti-snipe build though haha. They had two oaks, a TB, and a rook. The
